Noonish in Yardley, PA is a good spot.

    Oh, we're on!

Yardley, I've been gathering the troops. Johnny 72 Stage Car, Kevin 70 GS 350, Jim 70 Stage Car, Chris 72 Lark, and myself are all in. One more may be in or leaving on Thursday? I got 215-801-3853 for your cell? So I'll call this weekend. We're leaving on Wednesday at 6am and will call again when in Penn...6 hours; right? Looking forward to hooking up with you and the boys! my cell is 781-856-1760. PS...I've been ready for like a week now!

    Johnno.

    EXCELLENT!

Yup. It takes me 6 hours to drive from Yardley to Boston. 3 hours from Boston to Bridgeport, CT, and 3 hours from Bridgeport to Yardley.

My cell # is correct. I suggest you call me when you get to the Princeton, NJ area so I'll be ready to meet you.

Here's the directions: Take I95 from NJ into PA. Immediately over the bridge into PA is the 1st exit (Yardley/New Hope). It has 2 ramps, North and South. The 2nd exit is Newtown. It only has 1 ramp. Take the 2nd exit - Newtown - and at the top of the ramp turn right. Go to the 1st light and make a left onto Stoney Hill Road. Then make an immediate left into the parking lot of the Hampton Inn / Office Park. I'll be waiting for you.

I hope we'll have several cell phones in the caravan to communicate when we'll need to stop for gas (like every exit on the PA Turnpike, I suppose...).

    Re: route

Yup. 1st exit in Ohio after the PA Turnpike turns into the Ohio Turnpike is our exit. For me it is basically a one-road trip. PATP all the way.

Johnno, I don't follow you on your route. There is no I-81 anywhere around here. Will you be coming down 95 past Bridgeport and over the Tappan Zee Bridge to the Garden State Parkway?

I've gone that way to Englishtown or Myrtle Beach etc.. so is that gonna work for us?? Coming home from BG this year we were on the Penn Tpk. the whole way and I thought I took 81 to 84 to 90? Please bear with me I'm going on memory only here; I have'nt gotten out the map book yet. I will clear this up this week and don't worry we'll be there whatever way we go.

    69GS400s ...my own amusement ride!

Looks like a straight shot across I-80 to me.....

Go to Mapquest and use BOARDMAN, OH as the destination

I think you might mean 84 to 91 to 95. That runs right through Connecticut, into Weschester County, NY and then you can shoot over to the Tappan Zee Bridge and down the NJ Parkway. That's the route I would have suggested.

So, you'll call me Wednesday as you approach the Princeton/New Brunswick area, and I'll meet you at the Hampton Inn. Gas stations are very close to there too, if anyone should need one.

That is true, but they said they wanted to do the Pennsy Turnpike, so I offered to hook up.

Why would you WANT to drive the PA pike!?!?

Limited access and nice road conditions?

And for me it is right near my house and runs right to Salem.

I've always hated driving that road. It's always either a 2 truck uphill race for 9 miles at a time followed by 80+mph through the curves dodging the same trucks downhill.
