    oooooooooooooo

Now I got a question for ya! Me and Denny are both going. I am coming up Wednesday night and he's not coming up til Thursday. Now the question...since we only have one BPG card.....how do we do this since we both won't be arriving at the track at the same time. I'm planning on being there early to offer my assistance since I won't be racing my car til Friday. I'm LETTING Denny run it on Thursday to make sure all the bugs are worked out.

Only a couple days to goooooooooooooo
    :beer

Don't you remember those drive-in nights. I used to fit 3 people in the trunk of my '65 Skylark and sneak them in. Maybe we can fit you inside a trunk and Moses won't catch us:laugh:

All kidding aside I will be in on Wednesday also at the Econolodge across from the Best Western.

Well, after finding out that I'd snapped two bands in my tranny (this is why I had no second gear) and grooved out some large bearing in there. I was able to get it into the tranny shop today and they got it all back together in about 2 hours.

Many thanks to Transmissions by Bruce on Brookpark Road in Cleveland. He went above and beyond in my opinion to help me get back on the road.

I was even able to get another steering box after I accidently put brake fluid in the resivoir and wiped out the seals.

Hopefully I'll be there tomorrow. The car is sitting in the garage ready to fire up, but it's a little late now for that.

I did try the chassis dyno yesterday. Even with the trans in it's broken condition, I managed to post 375 hp and 478 lb. of torque at the rear wheels. The guy said to add 20 to 25% to get just the motor. It's not quite what I had hoped for, but I'm not complaining. I'll just go on and think that the tranny kept the numbers a little low.

Hope to see everyone there in my convertible tomorrow. Otherwise, it'll be the truck and the grandstands for me. Everyone say a prayer I got it all back together right and no leaks and everything works in the morning......on my car.

Definitely a great job by the Zerucha Brothers  on their win. Even in the middle of thrashing on their car, John still found time to hook me up with some MSD chips that I needed to borrow. Thanks John! And Gary, Good Race! I hope I made it close anyway.

This was definitely better than BG last year. I had a great time, met some new people and had a great time.

I only made it to the third round of bracket three and lost to a member of the Paine clan when I broke out of my time. Good race though, congrats to her on her win. Oh well, not a bad way to lose.

Bruce Hunter and John Schmidt were very nice. They let me "store" my stuff in and around their trailers as I had no place to put my tires, jack, tools, etc. Thanks again. The food was good on Thursday. I've never had a "chef" make me a hot dog before. I hope they collected some good $$$ for resto parts.

Yea, good race Randy. But don't be too sure about next time. I'll be working on my reaction time. You're not racing me with OUTRAGEOUS heads up, are you???

I think there was more people at Norwalk than at BG last May. Just a guess, though. Anyway, had a great time and look forward to next year. Maybe I'll make the September races this year.

I've got to get someone to help me tune this car. I just ran it as I drove it to the track, an hour each way, every day. Except for Saturday when I was replacing the tranny and steering box. I just know there is another tenth or two I can squeeze out of her.

    Phil
