They will be around $2800.00 complete ready to bolt on. Castings only, $1550.0 with guides and seats. We have a couple sets of new castings we recently received with the changes that were needed. I'm hoping to start machining them in a few weeks.
The valves will be big enough to supply a stoked 350 and the chambers will be very close to stock spec but closed chamber... There are blueprints in this thread showing larger valve diameters.
I agree I don't think it would hurt putting stock stuff on at all. Might hurt the power some but then again maybe not, it's a 350 Buick it is different in every way.
Will the site be updated to reflect the "levels" of the heads you can purchase? Always nice seeing parts before you buy them.
Not to turn this into one of those threads, but I was planning on a crower 3 retarded 4* with stamped rockers (if the 4 is too much lift for the stamped rockers). I think with 10:1, ta's intake, and headers, should be good for at least 400hp right?
I think you will be around 400HP but I think the new heads will require aftermarket Chevy style rockers not stock, as the valve centerline and spacing is different. My Desktop Dyno shows about 50HP over the 300 aluminum heads Chris used with the same cam retarded 4 degrees.
Ta has been talking about modifying the TA Buick roller rocker setup for the new heads. Sounds like those of us with TA roller rockers may have to buy another set to work with the new heads. Maybe they can mod our rockers if we send them in. It wasn’t set in stone but Mike Sr has mentioned that to me on the phone. He was saying specifically talking about adding as large as possible valves and using offset rocker arms like they use on the v6. No mention by TA of SBC style rollers for these heads. With the valves moved around I would be surprised if the current roller rockers worked properly. I certainly would not put stock rockers on the alum heads. That would be like putting black steel wheels on a GSX.
