That's somewhat closer to my area of expertise. Today's lunch will consist of one nuked bison burger made a few days ago. The burger patty is my own creation with various added ingredients, and oven cooked at 375° for 15 minutes per side.
This might be Boring but, we did a lunch thing at Tommy Bahama‘s that looks like this. A few of the guys here on the board know what we’re talking about because we’ve taken them there. A few of the guys here can attest that this is probably the best coconut shrimp you can get anywhere! Accompanied by Asian slaw and a Asian peanut sauce that is off the chain! For the drinks, I like the Tommy Bahama frostbite done with grey goose, my wife likes their sangria. It’s really an amazing lunch experience! We like to sit outside on the upper mezzanine which overlooks Saint Armands. Especially on a day like today when it’s warm and breezy and low humidity. It was really, the perfect day!
Did the normal Sunday thing, grilling steaks for the family as always. Using the cherry wood grilling technique. I use the Morton seasoning and just let the smoke do the rest, cook to temperature and serve with…
It finishes like this, best Cabernet on the planet in my opinion, with a good vodka palate cleanser in between. Finishes like this.
Sautéed onions on the steak, steamed vegetables for the side as well as roasted medallion tater tots. This is a meal that you cannot get at a restaurant but you will love forever!
I do my own steak Pittsburgh rare, therefore, the vodka palate cleanser and the cab really work well together!
Steamed vegetable medley along with oven roasted tater medallions are a really, really great side pairing to any steak!
All looks great Doc. Busy car show weekend for me. Food trucks, take out, and tons of beer, My stomach is shot. Start the repair work tomorrow.
Just curious, Doc, did ribeye pricing go nuts by you? Around here they went from 12 to 23 bucks a pound over the last 2 weeks.
I would assume that they have. My mother-in-law actually buys the steaks and I just cook them, LOL! I was talking to a friend who bought some yesterday that were up to 19.98 a pound. We’re all thinking about cooking hamburgers until the price comes back down….
Darn, first real meal in almost a week and I forgot to document it. Anyway here’s the leftovers for tomorrow. Slow cooked bone in pork chops with baby portabla mushrooms , onions, garlic, some organic cream of mushroom soup ( cheating I know but it’s Tuesday). Slow cooked in the electric frying pan for 1.5 hrs. Basic sauerkraut sautéed with onions and butter and paprika. Oh and boiled potatoes. Could be prettier but who cares.
