Oh Yeah.. Almost forgot. Go with electronic ignition too! (Ignitor II) Get Rid of those points and condenser... you can then gap you plugs more too.:Brow:

Hotter spark and more power! Not too much gap though, you'll burn up your wires. Gapped mine at .055" Just right!

Have the ignitionman convert your factory distributor

to HEI for $175 & get an Accel coil for $30 and your good to go.:TU:

You won't be sorry having those valve seats ground. It sure is a big HP gain on those stock heads!:Brow:

    Jim,
You have received the best information you can get from all the guys who have done it before you.
You get to know what works on these engines,if I could add my 2 cents worth, a few have mentioned it and I haven't seen you address it yet. While the engine is still apart and the parts are accesable, clean up and flow those heads, even if just a "pocket port".Good head work is one of the things that really wake up a Buick engine even the 350. Everything you're doing sounds good.Just don't overlook the potential of massaging the heads so they flow better. Don't get too anxious to get it back and then say I shoulda done this,I shoulda done that,I'm speaking from experience. I think we've all done it, better to do it right the first time than to do it again:Smarty: Good Luck with your project and keep us informed:TU:
