Checked the combustion chambers cc size and this is what I found.
When they made these heads, they tried some cross breeding between Chevy big block open chamber heads & buick 455 intake runners & exhaust ports.
I am going to have them flowed to see how that turns out.
Looks like poor machine work right out the box.
One head milled more than the other?
    Here's the spreadsheet numbers.

    That's a big darn difference!
If you measure down from the Shallow side lip of the chamber with the butt end of a caliper is there a difference?
Has a valve job sunk some valves more then others, or have some valves themselves be freshen up cut too much and have too little margin?

Margin is very important, having less then .060" WILL effect air flow!

If it does turn out to be just a different in how the heads are milled then when you average out all of those CC differences your going to need to mill that bigger head .051" it would seem.

No valves sunk or cut since new out the box.
The Bulldog heads are just raw & ruff.
They require a lot of work.
If you see a set for sale, run the other way, LOL.

Not bad but I have heard they crack unless it was the few blocks they made that did.

Do you know if there are any pics of a Bulldog headed 455 here, want to see just how much different they make the BBB look?

I think that was the aluminum one. Geoff K. ran the iron one and didn't have any issues.

There is plenty of meat on these bulldog heads for milling.
So I can equalize out the chamber size & up the compression.

Bad memories. I paid for a set of Bulldog heads, but never received them.
