What an amazing weekend of racing and socializing. As JJ put it..."the party is becoming the highlight of the event"! Congratulations to all the winners and beware of Rob "pro tree gunslinger" Petcou if any of you guys ever draw him in future events. That kid can pedal! Back to back .5?? lights can put anyone on the trailer.

Thanks to the people that put in all the hard work to pull off such a successful event!

    Lookin' forward to York,PA!

Ditto on all that. Much thanks to you, Bruno, for making the parking lot as much success as it is. Can it get any better? Easy, bring the great looking hostess back next year !

Great match with Roberta. I got lucky and stayed out front, even on a missed 1-2 shift (that quickly became a 1...clank,crunch....(OOPS) 1-3 shift. Luckily, OK.

Totally blew out the LH Dynomax muffler internally on my car. Surprising after only 5 seasons and no other use. My original factory mufflers were still OK after 30 years when we took them off! Those factory mufflers had a small hole drilled at the bottom of the rear cover to let out the condensation. Think I'll do that on the new ones.

Great to see you up and about, Pete! Sorry you had top drop out, Donny. Bummer after all that thrashing.

Thanks, of course, to Year One, Eaton, Jakes, and the F.A.S.T. committee. OH yeah, thanks again for those lamb kabobs!!! :TU: :TU: :TU:

Really looking forward to York reunion !

The only way it could have gotten better is if I would have won my shootout. Larry Weymouth's consistency in his Olds was to much for my lousy driving. I need more seat time and that is all there is to it.

Special thanks to Bruno and Benoit for the great snacks. Thanks to Small Hurst, those were some good local beers from your neck of the woods. Thanks to Bob Boden for helping me tune it up on Friday. Thanks to everyone else, especially the organizers, for a great event.

What an AWESOME time :TU: :beer Thanks to everyone involved with this event. Busting my butt the last couple weeks to get my car ready was very much worth it. I've been spectating at these events (Stanton, Factory Stock race in Norwalk, last years Martin race) since my first one in 1999 and always enjoyed it. But to finally participate in one, it's a whole new experience. One that I will not trade for anything.

All told I made about 25 runs and only missed 3rd gear twice. Not bad for driving and racing a 4 speed for my first time. And all with NO TACH  Since the goal was to get the car ready and not break anything, mission accomplished.

Now the hunt begins again for the correct hood for my car so I can bring it to Stanton. I should have some time to get some other things corrected to, like a working tach. changing the oil. checking the spark plugs

Thanks to Year One, Eaton, and the race organizers. The weather was great and there was a nice turnout with all types of cars represented.

Thanks to Tim Clary with the help on trying to figure out why my car was slow, and thanks to Jim Lerum for the use of his spare carb, which solved the problem.

I was surprised that Tom Miller still has the same car from last year :)grin:) and am looking forward to seeing his dad's Pontiac in Stanton.

Had a great time, (not counting an errant coil wire) and great food, with great people what more could you ask for. The prior weeks work was worth it and hope to see you all at stanton.

    Thanks

Many thanks to the FAST committee for all the footwork on another awesome weekend...super facility as usual, and Saturday I had to take back *half* the bad thoughts about the track prep from the day before! And of course, lotsa thanks to Year One and the rest of the sponsors, namely Innovate Motorsports for the cool door prize I brought back to Hillbillyville! I need LOTS more work on a pro tree, and apparently more work on my chassis setup...as impressive as 117+ mph is, the race is still won/lost in those first 60 feet!

Oh, and I originally thought I was in love when I saw Martin's scale setup, until I stopped on it...just as I suspected, the old girl is still *big boned*!

Thanks to Eaton And Year One for their support is this great time for two days.
It's always great to meet new people who have the same disease I have.
Chris and I were spectators just a few years ago and now I have invited a couple of guys to attend in Stanton.
Get the fishing hooks out guys, we're fixin to hook a few more.
Parking lot party"s are getting better every event.

Nice to meet Mark and Larry Weymouth officially.
Lost to Stefina on Sat in the 2 out of 3.
Can somebody explain what sandbagging means? I heard Brian whispering that to someone in his trailer:Do No:

Had a blast. Oh and Dave, make sure your fly is shut at the hotel next time.
    So embarrasing!:eek2:

Sand bagging?Your rival is running 11's all day and in elimination all of a sudden he finds a extra 100 horses and he's in the 10's.In the old day's,if you ran 3 tens
    quicker you were out.

As a spectator, I want to thank all you guys who showed up to race your cars. It was my first to trip such an event. Fantastic! You guys really put on a show! Pegleg...your car was fun to watch with you rowing that 3 on the tree! I wish I had the time to talk to all. And to those that I did get a chance to talk to, (Jimmy Donny Mike Menzo and a few others) I hope I wasn't a pest. I will be at Stanton fo sure! Thanks again Jim

Thanks to all the sponsors and the FAST gang for having us out for a great weekend. A true joy everytime we get to do this.

The LM will go to good use. What a prize.

    Nice meeting you Don also.

Donny  In the fall lets have her all straight and going fast.

My nephew loved it and thanks to everyone for making a newbie with an 8 day old license feel welcome.

Congrats Jody on making the 13's.

Donny, pretend that Stanton is in August and thrash like you do at the last minute. Then you can catch your breath in the two weeks before Stanton really comes. :Brow:

    Mark:

Did someone say your nephew cut two perfect lights? How do you do that on a pro tree? If so, we have a new Bwana. :TU:
