When I got my first OPGI catalog going on 7 or 8 years ago I was looking at seat replacement cover kits and literally thought they were full seats, well at least the springs and foam and all, minus the tracks as they are so expensive.
I ordered some non car parts from them, like 2 Buick books, some Buicks hats, window stickers etc. I got my package and in the invoice 2 items were no longer available and instead of issuing a refund they "raised" the prices on a couple items to make up the payment exact.. I sent payment then by Money Order and with a order form so I couldn't do a Credit card reversal.

i have only had 1 or 2 aftermarket spoilers that where really a bolt on and they where from Poston..now defunct...

its aftermarket..its never going to be the same quality of OEM..so..they all need work..if you dont want that the only other option is OEM or NOS...you just have to accept that, and go to work on it..any competent body man can make it fit..

All i know is that CARS shows up at the GS Nationals with parts available....on site so you can see and inspect them.......how many of these other "Buick" parts suppliers do that.....hats off to them for the effort !

I kick myself at least once a week for not buying the OEM spoiler Fritz was selling a year or two ago.

I don't think I'll ever get over it!

To my knowledge and experience the aftermarket Rear Spoilers ALL need some TLC to get to fit correctly. I have them for sale on my Website but have a note letting people know they need to call to order one so that I can explain to them what they'll have to do to make one of these spoilers work and fit correctly. That way there are no surprises when they start to install them. (Or they can opt out before spending the $$$)

I've never understood why 50 years later (and 50 years of technology) we can't reproduce parts as good or better than what the factory put out 50 years ago. Frustrating but kind of the way it is with this hobby...…..

Note: I do believe that TPP is the one supplying most of the Spoilers for the main suppliers these days. . . . . (So with that being said the fitment issue is probably pretty common with just about any purchase other than an OEM one)

Well maybe their all made in China now? If they were made in the USA they would fit great...
Now I better go check the box before I got to EAT MY HAT.

I bought one of the tpp spoiler about a year ago , I was actually pretty impressed with it for a reproduction part , I did do a little sanding on the bottom sides to fit tighter , sandpaper on a round tube works well , its not a part for original gsx , but overall not bad , as far as reproduction parts go, if you want to know what to buy that is good out there,, go to Todds web site , he is the guy to bye from , he has made it easier for us,, he sells most of the good reproduction parts available .

100's of Buick Restoration Parts from all the big vendors. Best Fastener selection for the 1970-72 cars as well! (Clips, Clamps, Bolts, Screws, Brackets etc...…)
I also restore the 1970 - 72 Buick's and have a pretty good idea of what Aftermarket Parts are decent, usable or shouldn't be on the market at all and I'm more than happy to share that knowledge with my customers.

If you need parts from CARS, TPP, Legendary, AMK, Inline Tube etc...…. I can help and probably save you some $$$ in the process.

    Todd,

How about Bilstein shocks for '63-'65 Rivieras???

I can order them in but I can't save you any money on them. None of the dealers offer a discount on a name brand part like that.
