Wow! It sure has come a long way! I love that video. Sometimes at work when I need a pick-me-up, I put on my headphones, crank up the volume and play that video...

Yeah, it looked like the beater at one time. I seem to have this thing for tan colored pieces of crap! That 71 went through the wringer before I got it too just like the 70! Ive had it since 88. Drive it to the GS Nats in 91. Glad you like the vid!

I was at the GS Nats in 91 so I'm sure I saw it there and probably have a picture of it.

I almost forgot about that car.

    Sounds healthy! M/T headers?

What's the build-up on that motor?

I forgot I own it sometimes too:D Too many cars, never enough time. Unfortunately, its been a little neglected past few years

Yep, you got good ears. M/T headers. McBetts did the current engine in it. Dyno'ed at 550. Its got an old set of JE pistons in it. Alot of compression. Greg Gessler did the initial porting on the heads. Back in the day, Scotty G said he had a porting guy so he did some more work on them. TA 1.6 rollers, TA 308S cam, TA single plane intake and a Holley 1000. FB trans with a 3500 stall Pro Torque converter and 3.73. It went into the 11's with a retard behind the wheel (me). If someone who actually knew how to tune the carb and drive it, Im sure it would be a lot deeper in the 11's.
