I have seen a mechanic friend take mine apart as well. Not for a novice.

    Loaner tools available from Autozone

I borrowed the tools to remove the pulley/clutch(and broke one of the tools), from Autozone. Then I found a mechanic who was familiar with the part and he swapped the pulley no problem.

Correct used(or new) belt available for a 70GS455

I thought I would give it a shot and see if perhaps someone has a used original(or new) AC belt in OK condition that I could use. It is for a 70GS455 with AC and it has the larger pulley.

It would not be the first "chicken lip" I located here...

    thanks for any help

Source for the clamp that holds the batt. cable and the AC hoses together?

    For a 70GS455 with AC?
Is there a source for the clamp(part#1361756) that holds the batt. cable to the AC discharge muffler and discharge hose?
You can see a portion of it in the pic. JW posted in post #9 of this thread.
How about the clamp(part# 1195010) that holds the heater hoses together at the insulator?
    Any pictures of these parts?
Thanks for any help leads or tips!

Who is the supplier redoing this type of belt?

Perhaps we could organize a group purchase and get them to repro the belts we need.

Quanta Products, many years ago, began supplying repro embossed belts for Corvette, Camaro, & Chevelle crowd.
In last few years, Quanta has brought out many embossed belts for Pontiacs :)

Searching for a company to reproduce, def worth a try, esp if one has all the part numbers/belt specs.

Qunata does not make any repro belts for Buicks.

Understand that, but they didn't make belts to fit Pontiac V8's until they had constant requests & realized the demand.

From my own need, know that Quanta does not repro the '71-76 Pontiac alt belt for use with 80amp alt & idler pulley.
Like the Buick a/c belt in above request, it is also quite long.

Hopefully, the powers that be at Quanta are working on expanding their market niches.
