    69GS400s ...my own amusement ride!

It used to be that when merging or changing lanes you

    1) Signaled your intentions
    2) Looked to make sure there was a break in traffic
    3) Executed the move

    Today.....it seems almost EVERYONE

    1) Executes the move
    2) Maybe signals thier intention
    3) Looks to see, afterward, if they pissed anyone off

    :blast: :spank: :af: :Dou:

As always ...Drive Defensively ! Give em room if they need it.
Sooner or later they will get caught doing that stupid stuff.
Chances are though you won't be there to see them get
ticketed. It's a test ...a big test to see if you can not
get sucked in to their goofy driving habits.

You got THAT right! :TU: :TU:

(My pet peeve is people who wait until the last minute to change lanes and pass, even on multi-lane roads - it's like they are trying to see how close to the corner of my car they can get without actually hitting it. )

i thought canada had switched to klicks? you guys are still speaking in mph ... are you translating for your dumb cousins to the south?

    ian
you're speeding, they're speeding. the fact that you are offended by their greater speed is pretty much totally subjective, i'm sure there are plenty of old fogeys going the speed limit cursing you both. you'll both get tickets if a cop sees you.

surely you've heard that old saw about the mote/pole in the eye?

    Good one

Yes Bob, I was converting from k.p.h. to m.p.h. Are my neighbours to the South dumb? Definitely not. The world becomes smaller every day and sometimes thats a good thing.

Today I was just thinking about all the men and women far from home in Iraq.
They have put their lives on the line to not just benefit the U.S. but the entire free world.

Many will not return, many families will be hurt. When situations arise where good men and women are losing thier lives it goes beyond politics and rhetoric.

Please know that everyone in the world wants your safe return.

    A dumb canuck.

It doesn't work anymore. Society compensates for it, and likely the poor sucker to get killed will be an innocent bystander.
