Steve, Never mind the dress up kito No: You are thinking like a ricer!:laugh: They think bolting on a wing and fart can adds 100 HP Bolt on the go fast goodies. If it has a single exhaust, convert to duals. If it has a 2 barrel carb, get a Quadrajet. Recurve the ignition and convert it to electronic. It doesn't have to look pretty to put a smile on your face, or surprise some people.
I got duals and a 4 barrel on mine.. Im going to wait to do perfromance mods. Im gonna start with some chrome tho. I know adding a chrome air cleaner isnt going to add 100 hp. (maybe 5 hp with a K&N), but thats besides. When Im lookin for some performance upgrade ideas, Ill be sure to check back here.. The first thing that came to mind would be a shift kit. Can anyone give some feedback on that idea?
I don't think that would be one of the first things I'd put my money into. Although it might make it more fun when you do get some more power out of that 350. Take Larry's advice on the easy stuff - like HEI and a recurve kit.
