I guess it depends what car you have to start with. I don't think anyone who owns an original or restored #'s matching GSX would appreciate having it customized in any way shape or form. However, if you take my car for example, a non #'s, non GS 67 Riviera, that isn't going to be worth tens of thousands any time soon, I would not have a problem with that. (unless of course they make something totally ridiculous out of it, but so far, Foose has yet to design an ugly car in my opinion.) On top of that, they do a bit of research and ask the people close to you what they think you'd like to have done to the car. Usually, if you intend to do anything to your car, you'd have discussed it with some friends or family. So chances are, the end result will be something you will like. After all, not every one has the means to put 20k + into their car which I think is at least what the job Overhaulin' does is worth. Probably more, probably a lot more. If they're looking to do a Riv, they can certainly do mine. Serge.
The way I see it, and im not trying to step on anybodies toes with this, but.... The title may be in my name, which legally its my car, but if I didnt do all the work on it, then its someone elses car. I prefer completely stock appearance, with a decently quick motor. Im not into subs, dubs, or any of that trendy stuff... 7 days to do a car? I dunno if I would trust the quality of their body work. But someone else did have a point also. Just take all the flashy stuff they put on it back off, sell it and get the stuff you want. Free money. As for my Riv, id be against, it, but they can overhaul my ranger anyday. Id then take all the goofy stuff off it, sell it and buy things for my Buick. But, if they do take my Ranger, Id hope they would leave behind some sort of gas saver for me to drive around.
They could take mine any time they want as long as they didnt make it TOO gaudy, as for the quality of the body work, if u have watched the show youd know thet have only the best working on the cars. they're donoe VERy correct with lots of parts from OPG and such.
Ive only seen one episode. (not much to base my idea's off of). It was the episode with the girls explorer that they put stars all down the side of it.
