I heard its a do as I say not as I do thing with bald tires and a rule maker was a rule breaker .Of course the rule is still not posted under the rules section but was told about on the websites. So maybee its only a suggestion untill its posted as an official rule.

What a surprise huh? More like you guys are full of crap. I got a call last Wednesday night from a guy who said he was coming to the race. I told him he needs to make sure that he had legal tires, he said okay. I'll just put my front tires on back and back tires on the front. Now, if any of you have ever tried bald tires on the front of your car and drove it down the dragstrip, it doesn't work.He almost wrecked the car twice. We also said we would enforce the tire rule on the top 10 cars. But see we only had about 13 cars and about six of them were running with Illegal tires. So, am I supposed to send six cars home leaving us only seven? Good move huh,yea right. This race was probably going to cost me several hundred dollars out of my own pocket, but we had a few guys step up to help me out with that burden. How about if we had more cars show up? Then we would have been in a different situation. Dave and I have done more to tech the factory stock cars than any other race. Yeah we find things like lightweight valvetrain components, aluminum intakes painted engine color, etc. Racers are asked to change their illegal parts, but they don't, they refuse to. Very few racers step up and change anything on their cars. All most of you want to do is point the finger at the other racers. And yes,you know who you are. This is getting so old. Everyone always wants rules enforced as long as it is not on them. When I tech Chevys at Stanton, I see all kinds of infractions of which I document and the next year I see the same infractions again. Something else we can't understand is at the pure stock drags this year there were at least three cars running illegal tires and nothing, absolutely nothing was said. This could quite possibly be the last race we have at Martin.

Terry,Dave, and everyone else who puts on these races.........THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!!!

Your never going to make everyone happy, we're never going to get people to stop bending the rules, and there will always be the people that you can't make happy no matter what you do.

It's your race, your sand box, your rules. If people don't like it, they can go somewhere else and start their own race.
I enjoy the Martin races, especially the spring race, and feel that it is still growing, at least on the Factory Stock level.
I would hate to see it fold up over the continous bitching/crying/finger pointing/bad mouthing, etc.
I don't know what happened to the F.A.S.T. cars?????? They were there and supported the race the first few years, then they just quit coming???Don't really understand why the F.A.S.T. participation numbers dropped off?

The Fall race, just my opinion, but it just doesn't seem to be catching on. I don't know if it's too late in the season, and the weather is too Iffy for people to take the chance to haul from a distance or??? You guy's don't really promote it either, as far as early entry fee, and updated list of pre-registered participants, etc.
It has a very informal feel to it, from several weeks prior, right on up until a couple days before, that is why I questioned if you were going to call it due to the possibility of foul weather.
I'm not criticizing, just telling how I perceive the Fall race. I like the Fall race as well, and I'm sorry we didn't have the car there, but it needed work, and I was short on wrenching time/ambition.

The economy has kicked this sport right square in the lower frontal regoin that last few years, and I know that has been a factor in participation, fuel costs, etc.

All I'm saying is, there aren't very many places(events) that we get to play with our type of racing(Pure Stock,Factory Stock,F.A.S.T.), and I would hate to see any of these races fold-up and go away.

Thank You to all the Race Organizers over the years, I appreciate your efforts and hard work.:3gears:

I had a blast at this event and thank you for having it this year.

I understand maybe not having the fall event due to lack of participation the last couple years, But spring Martin seams to grow.. Be a drag to loose both. I've been to everyone since they started , and enjoyed everyone. ( well maybe not the one that I was asked to help tech. -That kinda sucked, but that's another story ) Either way Thanks It was fun while it lasted. I understand and do what you have to do.
