Weather was gorgeous this weekend. 50 degree temps felt like a heat wave. Streets looked clear enough too. Started the beater up yesterday morning and have been making the rounds with it all weekend. I managed to put a hundred miles on the odometer. Ran like a top, not even a hiccup. Every day that goes by is one day closer to car season!!! I cant wait!
Been really pretty mild here too. Other than the 2 weeks of super cold, been able to get out and enjoy the sunshine. This pic is yesterday. It's 40+ today so I'm barbequeing and watching Barrett Jackson and football off and on:
The engine in it is dry as a bone, but the hole in the main case where the countershaft is pressed in leaks. And I don't want it leaking on my nice newly sealed driveway! I don't think that trans is long for that car anyway. The reverse idler is rubbing against the slider in first gear. Drives me nuts!
I like them too and the best part was that price was right Nothing makes a car like a set of period correct tires
If I didn't drive mine as much, I'd get a set of the radials but between the wait and the questionable quality I've read about, I'm holding off. At least for now.
You better be careful driving it with salt still on the roads.Give it a couple years and you will wind up with a rust bucket. Tom
Oh....its a long and sordid tale my friend. It was quite a month probably never to be topped. I wound u buying three cars. I was "junk drunk" Here's the thread from when I bought it- http://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/see-these-cars-find-me.301515/
