    gas "hosed"

    Okay,

Last night has been my all-time high so far. Paid 2.65/Gal for 93 octane at an EXXON station......for my GS. 20 bucks barely hit 1/2 mark. I cannot seem to understand why fuel is cheaper North and South of us....by usually .25/gal or so.....

One of the joys of living in this part of WV I guess..........

I think it was somewhere around 37 cents or so? They passed a bill back when gas prices were rediculously low (have a picture of .91 cents for a gallon from '99) and instead of the law raising gas taxes then, it raised them in # years and guess when the law hit? Right as soon as the gas prices were climbing.

truth be told, I've been thinking about selling the Riv for a Bike, but the money I'd save in Gas I'd spend in insurance, and you can't ride year round here.

I saw it today..... It has happened and will continue to rise.

    $3.07 a gallon for 91...

Gas at the station down the street from my house went from $2.25 a gallon to $2.49 a gallon for 87 in the LAST 4 DAYS!!!!!....

Speculation is $3.00+ a gallon by Memorial day to around $4.00 a gallon by labor day..

The state governments are not going to do a darn thing, they are loving all the extra sales tax revenue. Federal government is also loving this. I think the oil companies are going to continue to let is rise to the point where it starts crippling the economy, then backing it off slightly. I have no doubt in my mind we will start seeing European gas prices in the next year or two $6.00-$7.00 a gallon...

Thankfully I get reimbursed for gas by work. My Buick is sold and my Toyota 4x4 that gets a whopping 9-12 miles a gallon is in storage in my garage. Lori gets about 8mpg in her car, luckily she works less then a mile from the house.

Saw 2.99$ for 91 at a 76 station today...... Where's my scooter....., it's getting warm here too now, so I wouldn't have to wory about freezing at night when riding it.

you know having lived on both sides of the ocean i have come to the following conclusions. this may upset some but I am going ahead anyways. the intrastructure of the US is poor.they dont think when roads are built. instead of putting 1 exit and 1 enterance per side of a bridge road ect, they put make you share 1 exit for both sides and one entrance for both sides. they put in a traffic light which does two things stops traffic and makes you use more fue. stops and go all day long.the clover design is the most efficent. second, instead of having stop lights, use traffic circles. this will have the traffic flowing steadily and it will keep red light runners down. how many times have you pulled out in an intersection only to get cut off by one.not only that but it will save you gas and it will save the city or town money and lessen accidents. not every place can have them and it will take time to adjust, but they are great.all of this would help save you time(most important) and money and limit the rear ending on vehicles. this would also save wear and tear on your car and your nerves ok im done rambling for now :Smarty:

I agree with you on the on and off ramp. We have to use one of these double use ramps when we go to the races. It is the worst part of the drive. We have to come around a sharp turn at 35 then get up speed to 65 to get on the other highway which is bad enough with a motor home pulling a trailer but we have to move over to the other lane to get on the highway while at the same time cars are comming off the highway behind us that have to switch to the other lane to get off the highway. All of this in a stretch of about 1/3 mile long. I am sure that alot of big city people think nothing of this but it drives me nuts. I can't drive on highways near real large citys, I get to overloaded mentaly and then I can't think at all. Tom

    I'm hooked

Gas prices in Ontario have jumped over the last couple of days. Regular is average $0.93 per liter. That equates to $4.22 Canadian, per imp gal., $2.87 US per US gal. Over $90.00 just to fill my truck.

    Did you guys know....

That Henry Ford designed the model T to run on home made hemp gas.

His rational was that refined oil gasoline was too expensive, too dirty, and largely un available,,, hemp gas however could be made by practically anyone in their own backyard for pennies a gallon, and it burned much cleaner.
