Is it just me, I think that white top looks out of place on that yellow car. But I really like the way they did the brown one.... Black top goes well with it, I think. But that white just jumps out and distracts you from the rest of the car. Top down now..... Well that's a different story :TU: :TU:
356 bucks a month...I shouldn't even think this way, but...my car's a Ma. car, with rust...my 462 could go right in, as could my interior...356 bucks a month. I am thinking things that will make me broke
Yes, a black top would look much better. It doesn't look right, especially since the car has black stripes. It just doesn't match.
Alright now--- we've had this discussion before--- and everyone told me a rear spoiler/wing would not look right because the quarter panels on convertibles are different, and the edges of the wing won't line up right... but this looks pretty good to me! Is this a special spoiler? Frank
It's the angle of the quarter panels and the angle of the spoiler - as seen from the rear. They don't line up exactly (and this a Buick, ya know :Brow: ) Those are some WIDE stripres on the brown car.
We were at volo the other day. Both cars have been their awhile. The brown one since spring. Neither is badly donefor a driver, sandscratches, in the paint and obviously not correct, but decent. Of course they both have the mandatory aftermarket gauges, and cut in stereos. Be cool for around 10 or so. A nice looking convertible should pull around that with the decent detail these have.
I agree it is really easy to pick the cars apart. Not for a purist obviously, but someone looking for a driver to play with. These won't go to car guys, but someone in mid life crisis looking for some fun. You can buy cheaper cars, but you will be in the same financial place in a hurry. New top, interior, detailed motor, heck even nice rims and tires add up in a hurry. I always thought to buy the most car you can afford. It saves you in the long run. I am about 15 south/east of VOLO, and we go up their on ocassion after breakfast. It is easy to pick their stuff apart inlcuding price, but you can do the same thing at any show. Everyone builds them different, and that is what the hobby is about. I laugh at the guys at shows who walk around pointing and talking at each other quietly about how this car is wrong or this is wrong. I can't beleive being negative all the time is a good way to pass the time. Most of these guys walk back to their Taurus in the lot after the show. Both cars are skylarks per the vin's.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Chevy and Mopar guys have jacked the prices on their musclecars into the stratosphere. As such these cars are a bargain comparitively. With some tweaking, if the cars are solid, they could be very presentable. So what would you be willing to pay for a shiny convertible??
Seeing a GSX convertible is much better than seeing a car that I once seen that was on ebay-a real stage 1 with all the correct emblems and everything, and it even had a 350 in it!!! :jd: Anyways, a buick GSX convertible may not exist, but I think the GSX emblems and paint scheme look great on a convertible! :bglasses:
