I have Hagerty with no issues but I have never made a claim.

For most of the cars though both Larry and I use Safeco. They are less expensive, cover all your normal needs for home, car(s), bikes, sleds, boats... All they have asked of us is to keep current appraisals on the cars. If we do so and turn them in then they insure them for appraised value. They have no issues with taking them in and out of storage insurance either. The only thing that they do not like is if the cars are to expensive such as the Hemi's and 440+6 Cuda convert. Those they eventually asked us to move to someone like Hagerty, hence how we started with them.

I have Hagerty on my X with no problems so far . I called them recently about a car I plan to build soon with a supercharger . That tossed up some red flags as to how much horsepower , which I will have to pay a surcharge for , but they do not want wheelie bars or parachute and complete roll cage add another surcharge . It gets pricey with all this but at least it is covered .
The old saying of "If you are gonna play you gotta pay " and I do .

Well let me be the first to throw "Condon and Skelley" out there.

I've had them for a few years and no complaints. No miles restriction and I have the GN under classic and the 65 lark under modified. Ans 18 K and 25 K respectivley. Total for both is $500 a year or so.:TU:

I had no issues w/ Haggerty... They considered the supercharger on the Rustang a modification, even though it was a dealer available option. The cost of insurance doubled w/ the supercharger.

Take a gander at their webpage. Changing just about anything makes it modified.

I've had both Condon & Skelly and Hagerty on my cars. Both are good companies. I had one claim with Condon and they covered all repair costs and then some. They did send an estimator though and he was checking around the car for any non stock modifications. When you send them pictures, they do look for non stock wheels and stress that they only want the car driven no more than 2500 miles per year. I finally dropped them when they started pressuring me to join a car club, which at the time I didn't belong to. Hagerty in my humble opinion is so much better. They were cheaper, they were very accomodating, everytime I call and may want to drop insurance on one car or another they don't get all suspicious. Their president, Mckeel Hagerty is also an enthusiast and has many classic cars himself. He is involved in legislation to keep our hobby from being sabotaged by the "green Nazis". I don't think they put a limit on how much you drive per year and best of all they have a road side assistance plan that covers not only your classics on the policy but every car in the house for a reasonable extra cost. When you get the roadside assistance you also get a subscription to their magazine. They have free consierge service and will try to answer any tech question or try to locate any parts you may be looking for free of charge. I can't say enough about Hagerty. They are real enthusiasts. So, between the two, I'd pick Hagerty. And when you call them their agents are genuinley nice.

With their roadside service if your car is on a trailer and say the tow truck breaks down they will send two trucks to haul trailer with show car and tow truck too . That to me is worth a lot of piece of mind .

FWIW, I have Parish-Heacock insurance on all my collector cars (the Buick is insured as a daily driver with a $12K stated value with State Farm), and P-H has been absolutely fantastic. I have had several claims (two windshields, and one accident that took place when my car was hit while parked) and they were settled quickly, with no hassles, and my rates were unaffected. :TU:

I had my glass shop buddy order me a correct dated windshield that was $702.00 installed, they did not blink an eye and sent the check to me, not the glass shop
