I'm in Reno for Hot August Nights and I went to Summit Racing for some parts for my 350 engine rebuild. Two items I didn't buy are the radiator and headers. I need help. I couldn't tell the counter guy which rad I needed for the 350 and for the headers I wanted to buy 2.5" Sandersons but he could find the Sandersons for a 350 going into a '68 but not for a '67. My question is will it fit and should I buy the short or long versions?

    2.5'' sandersons ???
    dougs makes them 1 5/8?
    t/a makes them 1 5/8
i use hookers 1 3/4. 350 likes them. if they made 2'', the 350 really likes that size. but don't tell anybody i said that.

I would like to see 2" header too which should go good with those aluminum heads for the 350, might just barely fit under the hood not much room now with the 1 3/4 I have.

Sanderson has some V6 and nailhead products but I didn't see a single 350/455 product at all.

I use 2.5's On my Chevy 327, 350, and LS1, so naturally I thought the size was OK for Buick 350 with a 750cfm carb, and slightly ported heads.I I am going with the best size for thr 350 going into a '67 Skylark. If not possible, I want to know why not?

The guy at the counter at Summit Racing in Reno said he had Sanderson's for '68's and later.

You better be REALLY careful about a counter guy selling you "Buick" headers. They will fit but they are probably Chevy 350 headers for engine swaps. Big problem with Summit saying it fits but only if you've engine swapped to Chevy.

I might be wrong but I've never heard of Sanderson for 350.

Sanderson did not show anything for Buick 350. V6 and Nailhead yes they have headers for those engines, Buick 350 NO. There might be Doug headers also that is another choice.
TA and Hooker and possibly Doug header is all there is and I bet the only option left will be TA since all the other manufactures only want to sell you LS or Ford and probably Mopar too If they are new.
Remember on the Holley site they had the Hooker headers on sale there until they were all gone and I bet that is it for those.
I bought me a set just in case.

I am using an American copper radiator in my 67. It appears to fit OK, but it was just a test fit - ie not installed and hooked up. I can get you the part number if interested.

You must be talking of 2.5" collector headers. Most guys are used to talking about header sizes in the primary diameter so typical small block Buick headers would be 1 5/8" or 1 3/4" primary header tubes with 2 1/2" collector size. We just swapped in a Buick 350 to a 67' Skylark and we used Hooker Super comp 1 3/4" primary headers with 2 1/2" secondary. They were recommended by a couple guys as fitting well in the narrower 64' to 67' frame. I found they fit shitty and had to do a lot of beating on them. There are some posts of our install and even some of the header fitment on this forum if you look for posts on my name. I would not recommend the Hooker ones in the early frame. 68' to 72' frames have quite a bit more room and that is why all the headers say for 68' and up. Often the headers can be made to fit the early frames but they take some clearance work to make fit. It might be worth trying some long tube Dougs headers or TA Performance headers.

Very tough to fit headers on a 350 in a 64-67 A body. It's very tight and they hit everything.

the hookers i have in the 67 came from my buddies 65 lark with a 350. NO PROBLEMS.
again i must be uninformed about stuff. sorry for the incorrect info.

Maybe they were pre-clearanced when they were in the 65 Skylark.

I ordered the Hooker ones after several recommendations of good fitment. Maybe the older ones fit but the new ones sucked. I have installed headers on plenty of vehicles and these were not great. The #3 tube fit really crappy. I had to crush it to about half diameter for several inches as the tube really interfered with the crossmember. It looks like they were discontinued now anyway. Holley was blowing them out at 1/3 cost in February which I was assuming was an indication that they would be discontinued. It is a sad world of the performance parts industry with hedge fund groups buying all the brands just to crank the prices and run them into the ground.

Or the bean counters figured out how to save 1/4" of tubing per unit and made changes to the product. Someone probably got a huge bonus for saving 18 feet of pipe a year.
