TA said no. Sanderson another no.
Guess I'll clean up my stock manifolds and go with mandrel bent 2.0" duals, and use Dynamax SuperTurbo 14" mufflers.

It looks like Dougs headers are still available. Jegs seems to have them in stock. They look just like the Hooker super comps. I would think they would work with some minor massaging for clearance in a couple spots.

I would check with the GS club they advertise those headers.

Greg, the Doug's Headers are meant for a 350 going into a '68 or later Skylark. $1,000 is a lot of money to spend on trial and error. I've had the heads mildly ported. Is it possible to open the collector on the manifold to 2.5"? I have extra Chevy rams horn manifolds. Has anyone tried swapping the collectors? Just curious...

All the headers available have always said they fit 68' to 72' Cars. None of them listed the early 64' to 67' cars. That includes big block and small block headers. People have commonly installed the headers in those cars for years. They will fit they just will need some clearancing here and there. Doug's sells them in a black painted finish for a couple hundred less as well. They look to be pretty much the same bends as the Hookers which I did manage to just fit in a 67'. If you are looking for some performance go with the headers and just be prepared to do some minor clearancing for them to fit. Long tubes will make the best power by quite a bit as well.

Nice! Interesting crossover! But what is the thing attached to the manifold in the top picture?

Thanks Bill. I believe what you're asking about is the capacitor mounted to the generator. I replaced the generator with a PowerMaster Alternator which doesn't use the cap or regulator.

when dougs came out, they were 1 5/8, which suck. i called them and said 1/3/4 is good. 2'' would be better.
    surprised they changed
