Remember the Bill Murray movie "Groundhog Day'? Semi-officially, Groundhog Day is Feb 2nd (2/2), right? I wonder if Penguin Day just MIGHT happen to be March 3rd (3/3)? A day that will live in infamy? Don't count your blessings before they hatch. Lety us know for sure that they are GONE?
It is 9:08 and they still didn’t leave. I would go in the house to see what’s taking them so long, but I don’t want to hear her voice.
Speaking of hearing her voice… I find it amazing what little kids say because usually it’s the truth. I had to take my grandchildren to school this morning and also tomorrow morning because their mom is at a work convention in Orlando, and my son Alex doesn’t get off work till 8 AM. I wake up, go out to the kitchen, and my wife already has the kids eating cereal. Awesome! I gave each grandkid a kiss on top of the head, make my coffee, and go out to the porch. I’m getting ready to take the kids to school. The female penguin comes outside and tells the kids that Ggpa is up. Go give him a hug before we leave. My grandson comes back outside and says to me, “Wow, she talked our heads off just going in the house to hug Ggpa!”
Don’t count your chickens before they hatch. I wouldn’t celebrate too much until the wife says they made it home. Until then they can always turn back.
No way Iowacat! They’re going about 150 miles north to hang out with some other relatives that might like them, and then continue on their voyage back to the great penguin flock in the sky! I’m on beer number two by the way. I feel the tension slowly leaving my body. It is so relaxing not hearing a single word around here. Awesomeness, wow that is a word.
Hey John Codman, I've been meaning to send you a personal invite to the 7th annual Buick Get Together, so here it is!!! If your Buchev can't make it over here, that's OK. Get in your car Saturday morning, March 16th, and drive on over. I guarantee you'll leave with a full belly and a smile on your face!!! Probably isn't much more than 2 hours.

They can probably be spotted wherever the sun is shining and there are crumbs in the kitchen, they won't be leaving there until Thursday. Poor unsuspecting relatives. I had a REAL GOOD day yesterday. It reminded me of the Simon and Garfunkel album, "The Sound of Silence." I raked Oak leaves and picked weeds. I HATE weeds!!! I took my favorite kids to school this morning because their mom is at a convention. A very nice morning. Getting ready to walk in the house and make myself some breakfast. I'm going to walk in, the TV will be off, the female penguin will NOT try to converse with me, slow Dick will NOT be standing in the middle of the kitchen trying to decide what cereal to spill everywhere, and my wife is gone. SWEET!!!
That’s awesome Rich, but it’s not next Saturday. The 16th. I know, a bunch of people around here thought it was next Saturday also. You can come next Saturday but they’ll only be a bunch of broke down Buick here.
Wow, the Penguins left but they didn’t put the chairs away. Believe me, slow dick did not get these two chairs off of the chair pile. The big mouth penguin did. But wait, there’s more …
There are six chairs on my front porch. Only two of them belong, the ones with the stripes. All the rest were brought there by the penguins so they could move as the sun moved. I guess I have to clean up this mess also. I haven’t vacuumed yet, because I’m scared too. Probably need to clean the vacuum cleaner canister before I begin.
