I finally got out today since it was so nice out. There seems to be some pretty good parts on here I'll probably take off. I figure I can use the funds from selling this stuff to help get my car done. Enjoy....

This car is pretty much shot with the body all rusted and damaged. It was buried in snow halfway up the doors. Too bad they didn't leave the hood, but the car still has the white bucket seat interior. I put a pic of the body tag and I noticed in the vin after the number of the body style there's a 9V or Y. I can't decipher the body code, so maybe one of you guys can? I noticed that the core support crossbars had brackets that were mounted on the frame unlike the 70-72's. The car still has the rear in it (buried in snow) and it's a non-a/c car. I took a pic of the dash bezel cause I noticed there wasn't any gear selecting markings that would be used for a 4-speed. I wasn't sure if the automatics had this or not. As you can see there are pieces of a grille, I'm not sure if it can be used for repair. I'm gonna let the guy know tomorrow what parts I want.

Rob - I'd definately want the cross braces and the grille too if its cheap. Also look at the reverse light inside the top of the rear bumper. If its not cracked or broken that too

Grab those 400 markers.....someones gotta want those......tail light lenses if uncracked an with the chrome strips should fetch at least $50....see if you can get the whole light assy.

Also, the front parking light Assy's in the bumper as they rust out

Someone was looking for a good steering wheel too.....see if its cracked.

The speedo clusters without the PRNDL could be either 4 speed or auto's with console shifter.

Lots of good stuff there for the pickin'

Nobody loved this car and thats sad :ball:

one less of the 1776 produced still around - lets put the parts that are still good to use for the others still surviving !!!

I might be interested in the remnants of the factory floor hump if it is salvageable.

I'm gonna go back tomorrow and give the guy a list of parts I want off of it. I can get the whole car for $250, but I don't have the room to store it. Let me know what you guys want and I'll get it off the car.

When I looked at the hump it seemed to be in perfect condition. The people who stripped the car threw the consolette out as I found some pieces of it scattered around. :(

Definately check the core support and inner right fender......you never know - they might be good. those alone would be a Cha-Ching !!! find if good

The core support is mingled in the front from an accident it was involved in. I remember seeing rust along the front part of the right inner fender. This car had a rough life and it's ashame as I love those colors. I'm gonna have to get the guy to pull it out as it's buried in snow. From there I would be able to get a better look at the parts.

I would be interested in the 400 side markers if there in decent shape. Also if the core support isn't rotted and the inner fender is in good shape I would be interested in those as well. Maybe it was wrecked before the battery rotted them out. Find out if you could if its a posi rear end to.

Like the show "Eight is Enough"?

    Hi Alan,
I am not socialist in my thinking but geez: I guess he who dies with the most grilles wins!:Dou:

Re: Like the show "Eight is Enough"?

The one in his picture looks way beyond repair while all the ones in my picture are saveable......with needed parts and lots of love.

In my picture, the bottom/left 2 are the only useable ones and they both have issues.....one is my spare and the other is promised to a buddy. The other 6 aren't in good enough shape to even bolt on a daily driver - each needs significant repair work but more importantly PARTS to make them whole again.

Thats the problem with that whole Lot I've got sitting there......I've prolly got over 2K in that pile of 6 yet none are worthy of being bolted onto a car. Should I bust up one or two of those fixable ones to make the others whole ?? Or should I look for ones too far gone to save ?? Theres only a finite number of these left so every one counts that is saveable IMHO

If this grille is saveable / fixable I'd gladly step away to let someone else have it

I dont plan on dying for a good long time....nor do I plan on having this pile for too long either and I certainly wasn't looking to win anything
