In the last 16 months of the Obama administration, jobs were added at the rate of 2.4% per year. Under the first 16 months of the Trump administration, jobs were added at the rate of 2.1%. Under Obama more of the jobs were in service industries - under Trump there were more jobs added in manufacturing, mining, and mining support, according to Quartz.
