A little closer.. Here is where the rear bumper got hit. It did bend the brackets underneath. Looks like something without a bumper or a brush/push guard on the front.
Let's get closer... A little bit closer look. Keep in mind that this is a one piece box side. Post your guesses here. This ain't a cheap one people!! Why people do not respect other's property is beyond me. My Dad would have kicked the crap outta me if I had done this to someone else.
No way, man!! Those are custom designed 10 ply non-wrinkle wall high traction high profile racing slicks!!!:Brow:
Re: No way, man!! Greg, Love the "high profile racing slicks" :Brow: Sorry about your truck, did anyone see/hear anything? Dana says $3250 I say $5000 Beth
All close... Got the check in the mail yesterday. Total claim is $2762.80 I have a friend in my home town that runs his own body shop. He kinda fudged the estimate, so I only have to come up with about $100 of the deductible. His original estimate was around $400 cheaper than the Chevy dealer here in Omaha, so he bumped it up to within $25 of that estimate and we went with him. I recommend this guy to anyone. Excellent work. Eric goes home on vacation in 2 weeks. He's gonna take the truck with him and let Keith at it. Keith says he thinks less than one week and it should be done. Need to replace the entire box side on the driver's side, rear bumper with brackets, and repair and paint fiberglass box side on passenger side. And no, Beth, no one saw anything!!!:af:
That stinks Greg. Hope you at least get your truck fixed without costing you an arm and a leg. You would think that a truck today would be tough enough with metal and not cheap fiberglass like the factory puts in. o No:
I like the exhaust tips. Sorry about the damage, there is some crazy people in this world:spank: ou: -Cody
Sooooo Cody, You like rusty chrome????? Just kidding. They are your typical chrome plated tips that are rusted pretty bad. I'll snap a pic of the stainless tips on my truck for you. Still look great but are discolored.
That's the finishing touch on a truck, the sound of the exhaust and some nice exhaust tips to go with it, makes the rear of the truck snazzy I think:TU: -Cody
Actually, that whole box side is plastic. Yeah I said "plastic." It has about ten bolts under the top "plastic" bed rail and then around the wheel opening and the front and under the tail light. Not hard to replace but of course has to be painted before installed. Box side was about $800 a couple of years ago when I worked at the dealership. One would think there would be a way to "repair" that hole like you could with fiberglass but guess not.
Rumble or purr? Cody, it does sound really good with the duals. Not a flowmaster single in dual out, but a true set of 3" duals from the manifolds back. Next spring an X-pipe goes in somehow. Gotta get the 496 cubes to breathe even more. Also thinking 200 shot of NO2 and some line locks for the Ricer games this spring. Although, most of the rice around here, I don't need the "juice"!:Brow:
Re: Rumble or purr? NO2!ou: You need propane injection! Much more fun. :Brow:  Bully Dog makes a kit for $750 you get 80 extra ponies.:3gears: There nitrous kits make more power but are $1200-$2K.
Rides Raul: That truck is a fine ride, sorry to see it got damaged since we rode in it. Why don't you pile the guys in for a road trip to Pueblo later this month. Couldn't cost that much in gas:jd: Have fun, Jim
Would love to... Jim, we would love to go to Pueblo, but I am still looking for the right job, so it is just not in the cards this year. If everything works out right, we should be able to make Noble in Oct.o No: Have to wait and see. Gonna try to get to the Atwood thing that Hillbilly loves so much. That one is pretty close to Ma & Pa's place, so we could do that one much easier. We WILL get to one of them!!:TU: Later
