I wouldn't do this with a high HP 455....could be hard on that block area. I think a torque strap up top is a better solution.
Agreed w/above. Tightened down, no more isolation during forward acceleration, which is trying to pull the left mount apart. TA has always advised against a solid mount on the left due to potential block damage under high HP applications. One solution would be to leave the new bolt(s) a bit loose, since the locknuts are going to do their job anyway. That might invite a rattle, though. To fix that, rubber washers on the bolt before the locknuts. Better yet... I rely on the GM interlocking mount, myself...all probs solved. Devon
