Buy what you want, and drive it any way you want!

Does it really matter what make of car you buy anymore?

GM, Ford and I love this one: "Diamler" Chrysler have outsourced the auto industry to death. You couldn't buy American if you wanted to!

Euro electronics, Chinese hard parts and castings, then assembled in Canada and Mexico. Who do they think their kidding? There is very little American left in our American cars anymore. If it wasn't for a few Motorola chips in the computers I would swear we were buying completly Un-American cars. The long and the short of it is at least the so called "Jap-Crap" company's have built manufacturing facilities in the US, when US company's are tearing them down.

Personally I own 3 Domestic vehicles, 1 Korean, 1 Japanese, and
1 American Vehicle "My '72 BUICK'

P.S. 2 of the 3 Domestics are Fords and they are true money pits, I will never buy another Ford (sorry Mazda dressed as a Ford) again! Mazda makes a great product, but the Ford engineers drove them to the point of insanity!

Oh god this type of thread gets funky. It amazes me how many different opinions we all have.

I can honestly say I do not dislike ANY particular brand of car. Every single brand has something good going for it....somewhere. The company I work for has 15 dealerships repesenting 9 different makes. Ford? Love their trucks! Nissan? 350Z :Brow: Chevy? Drive a new Vette! Etc, etc.

As far as going down to the dealership and buying a brand new good 'ol red-blooded hunk of American iron, those days are LONG gone. So hang on to the old ones you have.

95% of the Toyota's we service were built in the USA, by Americans. The Tacoma was designed for Americans, and is built in California. That's good enough for me.

What is my largest concern as a service manager for Toyota? Lack of repairs and maintenance needed on Toyota's. Warranty work is continuing to decline also. The product is getting better, and requiring less maintenance. Remember, if the vehicle were perfect, no dealerships would need a big service department hanging off the back of the building! So Toyota, if your listening, throw me a bone, I need the money for my GS.

    BuickLeSabre1960 Hot Dogs Anyone?

I am under the impression that if you take care of it any car should last over 200k. I personally prefer domestic trucks but have that x-runner looks nice, but I'm waiting for a SRT-8 Dakota :3gears: :3gears:
