Kansas will not allow active military tickets to transfer to this state. So all the tickets I got while in the other states did not effect my license. I have them from evasion, rapid acceleration, failure to drive in a single lane, acceleration contest, speeding (lots of them), exibition of speed, Illegal tires, and so on.

Jim, apologies for taking so long to reply. As you probably know, I prefer quips.:Brow:

No, that's not what I had said. I said, "Is this the same system that once forced Blacks to use separate water fountains?"

    Mark/"Custom" had said:

My response was to shed light on the fact that there have been institutions in our society that don't mesh with the raison d'etre of America. Should I just lie back and take it because "separate but equal" allows us to function as a civilized society?

So what does this have to do with speeding tickets? The system is corrupt and masquerades as public safety. That's total BS.

But your point is now moot because I wasn't talking about slavery.

Besides, do you really think that the subjugation of a race is fair, only for the "system" to then take its course and make corrections?

Sorry, but public safety my arse!:moonu:

Here's a story about increased traffic enforcement which about to happen in my home city, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

There is plenty of spin from both sides, quotas versus higher traffic offense enforcement. Personally, I'd rather see more police enforcing traffic laws.

It does not matter to me whether there are any "ticket quotas" or not. Drive according to existing traffic laws, or conditions, and you'll likely never need to explain your actions to a cop, or judge. It's worked for me for many years. I drive between 140,000 to 150,000 miles per year. The last speeding ticket I received was during the big hair, disco era.

Maybe it's because you got a haircut and you're now not being profiled? ;-)

Unfortunately for me, the big hair era passed without my participation, thanks to MPB.

I was far more lucky at avoiding speeding tickets in my youth. Street racing on night against a 71 Boss 351, we hit 100+ on our main drag, at the time, a 35 mph zone. (I won by a fender)
