How did I miss this? One of my friends (I still do have a couple) has somewhere between 25 and 35 1950 Oldsmobiles and is the reputed expert on them. I found a coupe very much like this hidden in the back of a junkyard near Dearborn about 10 years ago and bought it on the spot for $250. Called Bill and he and another friend came up with a flatbed tandem car hauler and the owner of the yard very gently picked it up with his long fingered hi-lo and set it on the trailer. Still had the original fender skirts on it, very complete, no rust, no dents. Was found in a garage in the ghetto. Probably still a lot of them there in every big town.

This Saturday in Lansing, is the 2nd best Oldsmobile show and swap meet every year (the Nationals are the best...this year in Bowling green, Ky., next year in Dearborn. Assuming the Arabs haven't totally taken over and declared marshall law.

Thanks. I have another pic of a car likr that, but just may get edited by the moderators. Maybe you'll see it before they do. All you gotta remember is these models are now in their 70's and 80's.

Might explain how WE got here. I didn't think that our ancestors went in for that until I took an Art Appreciation course 150 years ago. Did it to impress the girls, didn't work.

Oh my god! I just had a flash back to 1973 when I was in high schol i had a girl friend that wore that kind of outfit. They called them sizzlers ( wonder why) ANyway several girls wore them to school and the school did not seem to mind.Llittle panties to match the too short dress. Needless to say that year I didn't do so well in school
