I will pay extra for a Room at Host Hotel

If someone has a spare room that they have been stashing, and may not really need it, I do!!!!
I have a whole clan, including myself, and we need a room at Host Hotel.

If you have a spare you can part with, I will make it worth your while, either a nice cash gesture, or I will feed you parking lot Cookout until you can't eat another bite :Brow:

So Tom, did you get a room at the Comfort Inn? I called today to confirm mine and they said I didn't have a reservation. Hmmmmmmmm.....that happened a coupla years ago, too. 99% sure I made the reservation back in March as the girl said she remembered my last name.

Oh well, going to be across the street at the Days Inn. Not too bad. See you at the track Friday morning. Going to drive up early that day. May be thrashing all night on the car.

 

BTW, room cost at the Days Inn is $74.19 and they seem to have extra rooms.

Damn, wonder if i qualify for that? I just collected my first Social Security check this month. I'll call them back tomorrow. I'm not a member of AARP, but they don't know that.

Anyone ever stay in Mt. Pleasant? The PSMCDR site says the hotel are about 20 miles, but Mapquest says closer to 40 miles. For 40 miles, I'll drive the extra 25 or so and go all the way home!

I changed my reservation at the Days Inn today from Thurs and Friday nite to Friday only. Plan to drive up in the AM Friday. I usually am awake from 3 AM to 5AM for whatever reason, so might as well just stay up and drive up that morning.

I asked if they were fully booked and she said no, they had rooms...???

 

well, when I first called - "Heather" said they were booked full. I just called again (8:50) and "Doug" told me they were booked full and he rented the last room out for the 15th a couple hours ago. He did take my name, just in case. ou: (day late, dollar short!!)

It's not that I live so far (about an hour) - it's the getting up and back there by 9 am on Saturday!! :laugh: Not great in the mornings!

 

Tom said they has a waiting list.

 

Found a room! Close to the host hotels, your run-of-the-mill motel, probably not great but ok. $59 a night and they still have rooms. It'll cost me $59 in gas to go back/forth to home.
