It'd have to by my Old AUto Mech. teachers 80 Vega Built on a I beam Frame, with Two Olds 455's on toronado axles. One in the front and One in the rear on 44in mudders. :eek2: The only thing that kept if from Rolling back in '91 was he hadn't fabbed up a steering bracket to clear the trans yet:TU: Got to hear it run and it was mean.. I grad. in '92... Boy would I have loved to have drivin that Monster.
Confession time. I have a ONE TRACK MIND: '70 BUICKS! On MY drawing board (Planning Stages :TU: ): '70 GS Convertible "Mid Engine" 455 '70 GSX "Stretch Limo" (or "Pro Street" Stretch Limo with all Tube Chassis, with Rear Gull Wing Doors) I can't (WON'T! :TU: ) reveal my latest Buick "concept" vehicle, as it is actually in building stages (besides the 4 door GSX). All I can say is "I CAN'T WAIT (until THIS "thing" is BUILT!:jawdrop: ) I can only do a little at a time, mainly due to NOT ENOUGH SPACE (Hey, Jim, do you have some EXTRA room in the new shop for about 4 other GS "Projects"... ), but they'll get done. The 4 door is still advancing, with the interior just about finished (I just had my upholstery estimates last week, and it should be done in a couple of weeks. Covered In REAL Black Leather shock: $$$, I'm not "cheap" with my money, I'm "smart" with my money, but I HAVE to spend MORE than I'd LIKE to, for "some" things, like materials, but IT'LL BE WORTH IT!): GS Buckets, Armrest Pads, Console Lid, Rear Deck, and all lever knobs on Steering Column. I'm excited, just PICTURING it! Should be AWESOME!:bglasses: :TU: Doing some of the Bodywork this weekend, prepping for Paint.:bglasses:
David, can you tell us any more about that car? I love it. Thanks for the "Australians" compliments Harvey. I'd like to think we've left our mark on the automotive world.
Bill, Is that an "Aussie" license plate. On closer look, it may be from a Scandinavian country. In any event, its a great piece of work whoever built it! :TU: Harvey
Oh I see, no it's not an Aussie plate but I sure would like to get more information on it. Does anyone recognise the type of car it is? Maybe a google search will unearth more about it.
How about a 55 Nomad on a 90 Vette platform. The entire frame, drivetrain (converted to LT 1 and a 6 speed ), dash, and interior are Vette with a 55 Nomad shell on top. One of our best projects even if it is a chevy. The owner is looking to build a twin on a C5 platform. I am trying to talk him into something Buick for the shell:grin:
why not If my uncle was still alive , I'd have him stuff a 425 in my old silver/black 4 door '80 chevette. Roll bars, full tubb, arrrr, arrrr. I just don't have the fabricating skills to do it.:Brow:
This may happen to my VillainIII. I would love to dump the 454 mag for a Stage 1 engine. If I ever get the time to fabricate the brackets and figure out a bellhousing.
I think I would go for a 6 wheeler 70's LeSabre.............. p WHAT ????? Already done? <img src="http://home.wanadoo.nl/riviera001/SNCJuni2003/Page_1/IMAG0003.JPG"> <img src="http://home.wanadoo.nl/riviera001/SNCJuni2003/Page_1/IMAG0004.JPG">
Thinking about a nice old fire truck with 2 455's hidden in the back equipment area. Or couple two of the new aluminum V6's together and quad turbo for a streetable 1500-2000 HP. Would be a nice wheel standing project. Dave
Hey, Scott.....I've got an extra day or so to kill when I'm in Chicago next week......maybe I could get a sneak preview?!:Brow: Promise not to tell!:beer
