Just want to put this out to you guys! Pete Simpson son (Eric or his younger son?) got hurt on the farm. Just want to wish the family well and a full recovery for his son. It's one of those where you hope for the best. From talking to Pete its a wait and see before they determine how bad it is. Our family prayers are with your family Pete!

Sorry to hear that, hope that it won't be too serious. Farming can be a dangerous occupation.

    Thanks guys.
Our son Owen was taking wagons of corn home, and was to block the wheels and unhook. Well, he forgot to block the wheels before he unhooked it. It started to go backwards, so he thought he could put a block of wood behind the wheel to stop it. He just got done weighing it @ just over 30,000 lbs
(yes.... thirty thousand pounds) he got his boot cought under the wheel and it rolled over his leg right up past his knee. We did'nt find him for about twenty minutes with this wagon of corn on his leg. Got the wagon off and had to air ambulance him to the city hospital. Scary day. The big panic right now is the swelling of the muscles. Apperantly each one in the leg is covered by a skin covering, and if it swells to much, it can stop circulation and the muscle will die. Another 24 hours will tell a lot. So far, so good! Will update later!

    Pete,

Sorry to hear about your son. I hope all turns out well. From one farmer to another, I remember how much fun harvest is, but I also remember how much potential danger comes along for the ride. I am also adding my prayers to the list. For the rest of the harvest, please be safe and hope the yield is good! :TU:

Pete, Larry and my families prayers are with you. Growing up on a farm and in farm country this should remind us all how dangerous farming is and how amazing all the farmers are that do it for the rest of us.

I just want to say thanks for people like you and your son and again you are in our prayers!!!
