    Pete,

We are so sorry to hear of Owen's terrible accident. We have added Owen and the rest of you to our prayers. It just doesn't seem fair that one of life's simple lessons has to learned at such a price. Stay strong and tell Owen we are thinking of him.

    miracles happen

Got my boy home. Nothing short of a miracle!!!!!!!!!! Not one broken bone. They Xray'd him, read the pix and Xray'd again just to be sure. The steel shank on the bottom of his boot was shaped like a angle iron and the steel toe like a tee pee. The fact that it happen on a paved laneway saved him. They say if it happened on soft ground, his leg would have shattered, as it took different shapes. The pavement kept it 100% level. Still can't believe that 30,000 lbs did not shatter his ankle or his knee :Dou: :Dou: but very gratefull.
The 48 hours went by with lots of ice, and kept the swelling down. He will be on crutches for around 8 weeks, but should have a 100% recovery! What a emotional week. He has these bruises with big tread marks!
Thanks all for your prayers and thoughts!
    Peter
