Speedvision this fall! Primetime! Lots to debate over the winter months!
69 yenko 427 nova was missing from the pic!

The 69 camaro was just an all original rs 427 4spd deluxe trim 8track
    BALDWIN/MOTION car. Nothing too fancy.
There's still piles of them up here in Canada

   me thinks I need to expand my car search to include canada. cool pic :TU:

At a bare minimum, I'll be there Sat as a spectator as I'm in the middle of a job search. (a by product of the jobs search is to make more money so I can see about actually bringing a car in 07) And who knows, I'll probably have to help push a certain Mercury in the staging lanes. (do we get white gloves to push the car?) And Dave, if you get the Ram Rod fixed, I'll happily give you a push in the staging lanes too.

At this point, you'd have to push it all the way down the track while spreading speedi-dry behind it. Brakes may even stop it at that speed.

You should do a quickie on your car. You could be one of the only Oldsmobiles there! At least the fastest W31 (assuming Detweiler is coming. How come he doesn't seem to have all these problems and his hands are always clean? Miller, too? Hmmmmm..............

Kind of eyeing my grandson's "Swimmee's" for the oil pan. They're waterproof, and the gold engine paint should stick. Can you get Kotex in metallic gold with tape?

you know, Steve A and I talked about my car last night at a local cruise. we finally met and put face to name. Told him I just never got around to painting the rear quarters this summer to get rid of the primer. I've got too much going on with work and searching for a job to rush to get the car ready. And I may not even be able to make Friday anyway. I did give a friend a ride in the car last night at the cruise. It's been a year plus since he last rode in the car. Scared him a little when I first started out. But he said the car is running much better than the last time I gave him a ride.

    Chris,

Why don't you have some matching paint mixed up and put in rattle cans and at least paint over that primer? It'd look good at 20 feet. Way it is the primer attract attention to the problems it has.

Trim rings would help it, too. I don't think it'd be that bad (assuming the other side is about the same as this pic.)

BTW, I don't think that 58 Merc is a lot lighter than the 64. Will be curious what it does weigh. Bumpers alone must be 200# each.

This year, I vow not to over rev my engine(6000 plus rpm's :Dou: ), float my valves, bend any pushrods or rocker arm shafts, as I did last year. Look forward all year to this event for sure. Thnx to Bob, Dan, and their crew :TU: . See Ya'll there. Joe X.

I had a quart of paint mixed up and the guy at the paint shop said it would "cost you out the ass" to have it put in rattle cans. The quart cost me $64 as it is. There is less primer on the driver side however. Driver side rims have the wheel opening bezels, while passenger side doesn't. I have a set of 5 NOS trim rings. I just can't see myself installing those trim rings though. Hell, I've had the trim rings for 6 years and have never even opened the boxes.

    What's that smell?

Does anybody else smell that? It smells like----- why yes,yes it is,it's gotta be LAMB KABOBS grilling out. I can smell them all the way down here in Cantucky. I'll bet Benoit can smell them down in Louisiana. Maybe even Casey in Alaska?
GO BRUNO you ole lamb slayer. Can't wait for fun to begin. :TU:
    Anybody else smell them?
If the scent goes west to Nebraska, maybe Kirk will quit his new job and grab Kenny and haul their butts on over.
See you guys next week :3gears:
