  14. STAGE III

STAGE III Lost Experimental 455-4 Bolt Main Block.

    Joe is a great,great guy.

When people were hanging up on me in the early 1990’s when I told them I had an experimental 4 bolt main 70 Buick 455 block, Joe was the one who listened, called his buddy Denny Manner (relayed the details & my number).
Mr. Manner called me one day with his R&D notes, confirmed it’s stamped number & thus began my adventure.
I lost Joes number in my old Rolodex years ago but he had so much knowledge that we would talk forever on the phone & he spoke about his 1970 S.P.O. Stage 1, 4 speed car in a one of one caddy color but I never pictured it THIS beautiful in my minds eye.
So sorry to hear he has had these health issues but what a great story of even a greater wife & friends who helped bring this car back for Joe and put him back in the seat of this stunning car.
Gonna have to check some other places for his phone number and send him my regards & congratulations : )
Thank you for sharing this article!

Awesome car. The story mentioned 500 ft lbs of torque... should be 510.

...And an M21, not M20, right?

    Awesome color!!

If I saw this car out in the wild I would think it was a modern color and not a Caddy color from 69-70. Looks great! And a great story too!!

I don't know, everything else on the board opens except Photobucket stuff. Bummer, I would like to see that car in that color, sounds beautiful! Cadillac had some really unique colors.
