Just curious what kind of turnout we are going to see this year.
It would be nice to see a good turnout of people support the ORIGINAL event that created a race class for FAST racers to build a car to run at in the first place.:Do No:

Gas is cheap this year, so you can't use that excuse, maybe boycott the Musclepaloozer event and support this one for a change, come and run with some REAL cars.

Dave & Terry, maybe go back to the old days of preregistration at a discounted price to get people off their duffs? Maybe we need some public call outs?

This is a post to get people to check their pulse. Is interest in this racing dead?
Lot's of people fell off the face of the Earth, where is everyone hiding?

    Bueller......Bueller....Bueller...................................

Is the June race settled this year on the 19th and 20th?

    Yes,

and to ensure the car count, I hear there will be around 20 'stock' modern muscle cars in attendance.

85 and up, by invitation only.

We will not be running with them for shootout, but how freaking cool is going to be to see Hellcats, ZL1 Camaros, Shelby Mustangs and maybe even a Grand National run ?

I am looking forward to it.

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

I don't live too far from Martin. If anyone wants a safe place to park your trailer, etc. let me know. I also have a place to work on anyone's vehicle and parts connections, just in case.

I'm liking the feelers going out on the later model F.A.S.T. style cars for the Martin race.

Some of those late models should be scary fast, specially those hair drier Buicks.

Not to wish my life away, but June won't get here soon enough..... :3gears:

Tom, I'm not sure the east coasters are scared.... It's a freakin long a$$ Drive !!

I made the drive this year to MIR... Ohh man..
I hate to admit it, but we really haven't supported the races out east..
Can't expect them to make that trip - if we won't.:Do No:

Tim, that's not the point. The point I was making is, if it weren't for this race that started HERE, there would be no FAST class races/racers out THERE.
The majority of the FAST racers, for some reason, have forgot all about this race a few years ago. What was once a very HYPED, well attended, and anticipated race, and was at one time THE F.A.S.T. race to be attended by anybody who was anybody, has become something that for the past couple years hasn't had enough F.A.S.T. cars in attendance to call it a F.A.S.T. race.
I was joking about them being scared, I was simply attempting to inject a little life into this forum, to see if people still have a pulse??Been pretty dead around here.

And..........NO WATER!!!!!!!! If the new cars don't make enough power to turn the tires over in a dry box, they don't deserve to call themselves "Muscle cars"!!

One last suggestion again, I really DO think that preregistration with a continuously updated list showing people who have pre-paid helps jazz up attendance. When people see other people are going, it encourages others to sign up, as opposed to everyone sitting around wondering if anyone else is actually going, and not making a firm commitment. A HOST HOTEL would help a ton also. Three or four Hotels all spread out SUCKS!!!!!!!

Host hotel? Who needs a host hotel in the middle of June when the track allows us to camp out in the pits.

If everything goes as planned, I should have a new trailer to sleep in by then.

Some people might not be good at planning ahead and I don't think the track has a liquor store on the grounds.....

Many of the fast cars got sold or changed after the red Mustang broke records and hearts. There aren't many left .

Hey Tom, I can't ever recall seeing you outside of MI, gas is cheap this year so no excuses. Right?

"Gas is cheap this year, so you can't use that excuse, maybe boycott the Musclepaloozer event and support this one for a change, come and run with some REAL cars."

So much wrong with this I don't know where to start

"maybe boycott the Musclepaloozer event and support this one for a change". Really. How can you call it a boycott if hardly anyone shows up. Not picking on the MI. racers but.......Always have wondered why the guys from Mi.(and other areas) don't travel east. There are other races other then in Mi.. FAST puts on some great races other than Martin. The two Hemming FAST races each year plus MIR in the fall to name a few. MIR is a first rate place. I think I can say that the east coast guys would love to drive 3 -4 hrs. and be at a race. Most are long hauls.
