In this corner........'67 corvette roadster 427/390 4spd with only 19300miles.
Completely original with the exception of filters, plugs, battery, tires and reblt
    master cylinder.

Wonder if JJ will row the stick for this grudge match.

    Whats this HEMI all about?

Wow, I'd guard that thing with a shotgun and a pack of rabid Dobermans. What a beautiful rare find. I'm sure getting JJ into that will be a whole lot easier than getting him out of it. :TU:

Spoken like a lawyer! :puzzled:

With Jimmy's tendency to tear out second on a big block Vette,

I wouldn't let him near it! :3gears:

Absolutely, and don't let him talk you into putting that 3 foot long shifter handle on it to slam it into gear better........

Bruno -How are you going to get the Goat there if you are taking the corvette? I heard your pulling the wheels on the Goat now. How high can you lift them.

    Bruno What Is He Thinking?

Bruno is bringing that nasty Goat and I will get his Vette from my house to the track for him.

I love how trusting our good friends to the north are. He is leaving it up to me to get his tires done, and while I am at it might do a bit of tuning for him over the next eight days. By the time I am done he should have no problem hitting 17.50's @ around 70 mph if he has a fast tow vehicle to tug it down the track, a bit slower if it is under its own power. All kidding aside I can not wait to see this jewel in about an hour.

Survior does not apply to my Hemi as it does his Vette. Yes the Hemi only has 15K on it and had every belt, exhaust, tires... still original when I got it. BUT the original owner who parked the car in '72 as he "did not like it"!!! Decided that it would be more saleable with a fine "Embassidor Finish" or similar atrocity and ruined the original paint with the exception of the hood which was off the car as he had put a T/A hood on it in '70. It was truly a sick thing and I restored the exterior of the car at that time. The drive train is 100% original still but it no longer qualifies as a survivor do to stupidity. If the hood was any indication of the original paint it is an even worse offense. The car needed absolutely nothing but striping and painting. Truly a shame.

Be nice to me Donny that thing already is a metric ton or something like that lighter than the Hemi. Plus doesnt the earths magnetic pull affect shower stalls less than it does other cars? :pp

Easy now! I got a 1.99 60' for the first time on Sunday but we're not looking for wheelie bars yet.

Cayuga was ultra sticky! All 12 cars in attendance were rewarded with their best pass of the season.

Thanks Donny! I guess I owe you a beer Friday.

I have the Vette now and Bruno you are one lucky guy. I love the car. An unrestored car like that is a little extra special. My wife is talking of taking possesion of it for herself.

    Hey Mark!
Can't thank you enough for showing me your "stash" yesterday.I know how busy it is for everyone at this time of year and I really appreciate you taking on the responsibility of prepping my car for the "big dance".Your cars leave no doubt in my mind about your tuning capabilities!
Heck,if it loses you'll probably feel worse than I will!

Extend a thanks to the Mrs.for the compliments and let her know that we can always "horse trade". Your "arsenal of weapons" left me drooling all the way home.

    Now about that gear swap.........................

Bruno, if I may be so bold to ask... What does a low mileage beast like that which is all original cost to buy these days?

I'll be sorry I asked. Going way back, how about the 65 Corvette 327/250 3spd I sold in 1977 for $2500? I think they only made under 200 of them girlie Corvettes. Lowest of the low. But on the other hand, man o man was that a fun car to drive as a regular car. And I learned to shift without the clutch since the 1st gear was non synchro. So I was forced to learn how to shift without the clutch into all the gears eventually and hardly ever used the clutch.

    no problem mike,
I bought that car from an east coast GTO collector. He invited me down to his place to pick any car out of his collection.I was taken back by the amount of rare cars he had amassed over the years. When you see that many at once you desensitize. The car I wanted was out of reach but when I asked about the vette he thought I should add a 0 to the amount he paid for it in the early eighties. We went to his office,he pulled a large file out with all the documentation and there was the bill of sale.

Lucky for me he only wanted 80000.00 for it and free storage till spring.

The tires were michelin x radials and they were pretty square from sitting but what a rush it is to drive a low miler that wasn't pounded.

So curious to see what it runs! It feels crisp!

    Cheer for the underdog!!!!!!!!

And you're going to let JJ drive it at Pure Stock?
