Back looks pretty perfect, no notable cracks, mounting posts intact, icluding the original nuts. I was thinking about using this piece to make a mold and possibly casting a new piece in resin. Anyway here's a picture...

I think this is the $50 repop David was talking about. I found it in the bugle.

Is that ad from a recent paper? And this may sound like a noob question, but what is "repop"? Does the emblem look like the original? Cause if so for 50 bucks, that's a pretty sweet deal!!

It is from this months Buick Bugle. "Repop" means reproduction, or at least it does in my book.

You know the WOT motto.....if there's a hole....put somethin' in it. :Dou:

I'm curious what they look like; this is kinda like finally seeing a Jackalope.

LINKY LINKY Looks nice. NEW1966 is not very popular around here from what I've seen. I've never dealt with him. John Williams is the guy selling them in the Bugle.

Those are not a picture of the repop. Those are OEM's of NEW1966. I'm reading things too fast.

I called John Williams and we talked for a while. He says his repops are actually a correctly bent piece of stainless with a decal on it; no lens. He says they look great if you don't know what a real one looks like.

He's sending a pic, and I'm going to gamble the 50 bux and get one.

Nice guy-- he said he has sold 75+ of these things and will refund your money if you don't like it.

Any luck with a pic yet with a pic of John's repops?

After I got the pic, I think I've changed my mind about buying one.

Here it is, but it's a pretty low res scan (it came to me this way):
