I thought their would be a lot more artistic wordage than that. You must of caught him while his mind was on something else. :TU: LOL..........

Steve as a guy who has way to many college credit hours but often wishes v8buick had spell check, I have now designated you as my spell checker. I may have to give you my pass word so you can correct my botched english.

I am in the try and keep it correct side. If a guy is running an off the rack cam that is near stock though I think we should not stone him fully to death. Maybe just a few small pebbles off the mellon. On the other hand if you are setting the pace for a particular setup you should step up and prove the worthiness of your combo. That may be a 300 hp chevy combo a Hemi or anything inbetween. It does not matter your position in the pack but rather your ranking for your combo.

For me that has started as letting Dan assemble my motors now in the combo's I beleive will be at the front of their breed. Just as I have been involved in other peoples build ups. Then dyno them with an audience of Dan and Bob at a minimum. This does not perfectly prove honesty but it is a start. That is why I have also cert'd before. This is not practicle or reasonable to expect of most of our participants though. But the trend setters need to be held to a high standard.

Donny I will bring a torque wrench and help you with the swap. It would be a shame to lose a good friend to the PS drags. Let me know when. With proper set up the "5" will stay in the same ball park a/c or not.

No one should be ashamed over where their car runs in the pack. I have been towards the front and much further back. Running a completely Virgin car this fall was just as much fun as running a car that could have turned 1.5 second faster times as the Judge did at Martin. The key is FUN not the number on a piece of paper.

Mark hit it right on the head!
..........and to take this moral dilemma thing one step further,we should have a
death squad present at a post race teardown.

That would provide more "shock value" to the event. It would also bring in tabloid coverage! We'd be the talk of the checkout area at the grocery store.

The rule offending car would also be stripped clean by other participants one at a time in the order in which they qualified! Won't pay to sandbag!

    Bruno for President!!!! :TU:
Or would that be Prime Minister??

Being one of the usual slower guys, I like the idea of being one of the first in line to be a "part's buzzard" on the offending car. :beer

  8. You must be thinking of someone else, my buddy didn't start a series or anything but brought an '68 L89 TH400 Nova the next year or two. He sold the '66 L79 Nova, and several others, but still has the '68. Hope to get him to bring it back :beer

Sorry Marlin, that was an attempt at humor on my part.

The discussion of that car in another thread is what started this whole mess.

  10. Oh, sorry, wasn't aware of the other thread - I need to read here more often
