"Real Converstation" As I recall the conversation went more like this: Bruno: MARK, Mr. Bruno here. Answer your phone quicker next time it rang once. Mark: Yes sir. Bruno: I have a very special Vette here and I want to run the Virgin Stock Race and kick some Hemi butt with my extra cubic inch. Mark: Yes sir, you may do that. Bruno: Good now you only have a week to get my tires changed over, scrub the undercarraige, degrease and detial engine compartment, clean/polish paint then wax it, polish chrome and stainless, go over all the safety items, make sure the carb/distributor are spot on, then deliver the car to me at the race! Mark: Yes sir, I will get right on that, sir. Bruno: When you deliver the car be sure to have a fresh child case of Canadian beer ready for me while I look over your obviouly inferior work. You are lucky I allowed you to work on my Virgin Vette with such obviously poor skills as yours. Mark: Thank you sir, I will make you proud sir. These Canadians are tough :beer Thanks again Bruno for making the race happen. All kidding aside it sure was an honor to get my hands on the vette and better yet a shot to run her through the gears. A truly fond memory. It looks great in the mag too. Mark
Just got done reading that great piece of motoring journalism. Such a detailed account of a 14 sec thrill ride! Hope Mark gets the accolades he truly deserves over that article. Great pictorial of Brian's 'big M" and real neat story behind it too! Now back to biz........ Donny! Get that gear set ready 'cause the stinger's gettin' "tuned" for a rematch.
Threefiddy ??? :af: How many times do I have to tell you, it's " Threefidee"... as in "how much do you need? I need about threefidee. I ain't got no threefidee you darn lockness monster, get your own darn money." Sorry about that, I had a South Park flashback, back to the days when I could actually watch it but now with kids.... ou: I have not seen any coverage in the Pontiac Enthusiast or HPP yet as I get both. Jan M.C.E. Mark, Brian, I finally got my hands on the Jan issue of Muscular Cars enthusiast. You guys are really pushing this whole thing forward, with articles like these. Thanks very much. And thanks to MCE for printing something other than Foose or Barrett-Jackson. Really great to read this stuff. Frank
