Ya i wanted to go with a 27" tire but as you read above i'm going with hoosiers and they don't make a front runner in a 27 so . why do you want to change to 26?

My theory is not having to remove as much spring to get the desired ride height.
Plus it's just an appearance issue,I have the older style Moroso's and I think they're an ugly tire.
But then again,I hate the lettering on all the other tires.I spent about 2 hours removing the white ''GOODYEAR'' of my slicks before I put them on.
Are you going to try radial slicks by any chance?

    I run a #2150 Goodyear....

    Which is a true 10.5 tire too,They're 30'' tall with a 94'' circ.

The problem with the "W" tire from MT is that they're a little wider (1/2'' +/-) that the regular 10.5x29.5 but what they gain in width they give up in circumference as they have a smaller rollout.Probably the same footprint overall.

Right now I'm afraid to change anything since I think the car works as good as it's going to.But if I were to change I would try a Pheonix 10.5x29.5 since they have the most rollout in this family of sizes and they would kill some trap RPM.

Another consideration when choosing a tire is weight....That's why I run Tubeless. It's Faster,And the other benefit....
No tubes,No need to drill holes in those expensive rims:Brow:

    Also,Mike,
Where is the Hoosier that is 9x30 with 11.8 sec width?
I have a chart with all the makes and sizes,I was looking to see what your other options might be but all the 9x30's I saw had 12.5 SW but I guess if you go with an 8'' wheels they might pull the sidewalls in.

    IMO,,,

The Moroso springs are far too inconsistent in quality to be able to trust them. I sometimes wondered of they mixed them up in the boxes on purpose.. I had the best luck with the heaviest ratings, and still had to cut about a half a coil from one side to level the front end. Also, when going from a steel head combo to an aluminum head combo, it changes the front to rear reaction of the car all over again. Not just as easy as it sounds.

I luved the radial Hoosiers, but track prep was critical. The 10.5x29.5 MT's were the best *all around*, but the Hoosiers were faster in MPH and ET for sure if the track was there.

The 47160 (SBC) works fine on my Stage 2 with fiberglass front bumper whereas the 47190 (BBC) is better with iron heads and steel bumper. IMHO
Remember also that these springs settle a bit after applying weight so be patient. I've seen where people take em back off and cut them and ended up too low and resting on the snubbers....definately not a good thing!

Gary , that 11.8 is the sectional measure that is listed in the jeg catalog. it is part #18200d05 30x9.0x15 I hope that is not a miss print i would hate to order them and be way to large to fit the most room the 8" rim as to be under 12" my drag radial fit those are 11.1 and I haven't done any work to the wheel openings so there at least an 3/4 " i can open up

Bruce you didn't have to cut any coils off right .also do you have a side still picture of your car?

I believe that brett used moroso part#47200. these were the trick front springs. I think they are for front ends weighing about 1820 #'s. i thought his car had an awesome stance. just an fyi.

I believe that the key to a good leave is a good converter....First and foremost!
Then depending on what you want to run for a tire...
There is not much you need as far as suspension.
Maybe good bushings...airbag/anti-roll bar(depending on power).
