.............found an a-body crossmember from Guntrum's fire sale! We'll see if I can get this baby to work!
I wanted to keep all the progress together, so I deleted that update thread. MOtor's in, hoods up! :Brow:
What's left? It feels good to have progressed to this point. To finally get the car on all fours in the shop is so sweet especially after the TA cam debacle, the rearend debacle, the T-type getting creamed and all the time spent on recovering. I'll feel even better after I get the driveshaft, some TA shorty headers and full exhaust. Should be a fun summer, I'm already looking to get back into the swing of things. :beer Oh yeah Dan, there will be :beer once we hit those rear framerails! :TU:
Here is my latest debacle. What I thought was the wrong seal on the tranny turned out to be so much more. I couldn't get my yoke on the output shaft of my turbo 400. I had this tranny rebuilt several years ago for my Skylark, which I sold and never changed trannys, so I decided to use the tranny on this project. To make a long story short, the tranny shop who rebuilt my tranny put a tail housing for a turbo 375 on my turbo 400 tranny. Hence I spent another day changing out the tail housing because a turbo 375 uses a turbo 350 output shaft and a narrower tail shaft casing. Its all finished now, and I can finally order my driveshaft today. ou:
mos def, just give some time to do the research to get all the details on the motor. Eggs we've done 2 buildups over 4 years now.
