Super scavengers with dynomax 2 1/2” mufflerS. Love the sound and no drone when cruising.

Exactly what I Had, I'd still have the 17749's except I had to re-do my exhaust due to larger headers and I could not separate the muffs from the pipes, so I went with 17222 Ultra Flows, on first start up, I thought they sounded like Flowmasters, but they're quieter than Flowmasters, but louder than the 17749's

I’ve attached a video of my 72 olds w30 4 speed with 3 inch X pipe, 3 inch dynomax super turbo long case.....which they don’t make anymore :(
    With 2.5 inch tail pipes

I’m having issues attaching video. I’ll try later

Can’t get a 10 second clip to upload. Keep getting a security warning.

You can't upload videos to V8. You have to host them on a site like Youtube and then link the video in a post. Easy to do.

How about Flowmaster 50' s instead of 40's or would that be the same as Magnaflows?

Larry I'm so tech illiterate that I have a hard time uploading to youtube.
    Never have figured it out...

You need an account at youtube. Get a grand kid, nephew, neighbor what have you to help.:D:D

If you can get the video to me, I can put it on youtube. My e mail is in my signature.

Flowmasters of any series and magnaflows will never sound the same. The construction between the two is very different.

I was leaning towards the Flowmaster 50's with a header back X pipe. That was until I spoke directly with Flowmaster today and they told me the 50 series would be quiet like a nice factory exhaust. Even as quiet as Magnaflow. The videos don't help much unfortunately but the 50's seem pretty tame.

They are loud at anything above 1/2 throttle. Straight through design.

Larry, have you ever heard a set up with the Flowmaster 50's vs 40's? My Magniflow system was tinny.
