I wanted to start this thread now so it has time to clear through the posting process today and I can add more info and pics tonight.

The car is a Sloan documented Stage 1 automatic (now a 4 speed), 10/10 (white) paint car (now white GSX clone) originally a black bucket seat w/ console car (now has 4 speed consolette). Has a completely rebuilt 70 SF code motor (non original) last summer by Rick Henderson, Rebuilt m21 4 speed with Kleiner linkage parts, 3.55 12 bolt posi, like new. Engine and transmission probably have less than 3k miles on them, not sure of the mileage on the rear, but Rick checked it when he did the motor, said it looked great. Car was restored in the mid 90's I think, not sure if it was a frame up or a frame off.

Car is local car show quality (won the GS class of the 2005 WA Buick Open), not so nice you are afraid to drive it. Rick Henderson, who has hauled a lot of Buick's for members on this board, spent several months with the car, and has told me before that it is one of the nicest he has been around, and is nicer than I than I think it is and that I am too critical of it. I strongly encourage anyone serious about it to come and look at it and drive it.

Here is some more detailed info on the car. i purchased the car in December 2003 from Scott Miller, I think he purchased it in 1998 or so. It was restored in the mid 1990's I believe, I think the car came from the midwest (Ohio?). When Scott bought the car it had a Stage 2 motor and 71 automatic transmission, he converted it to a 4 speed right before I bought it and put another motor in it.

Engine was rebuilt in 2005, should be less than 2,500 miles on the motor. Any questions, ask Rick Henderson (builder) or myself (and I will ask Rick  ).

1970 SF Code block, Rick did all the oiling tricks he knew and also learned some new ones from Jim W.

    Carb- 800 CFM Q-jet, rebuilt.

Intake- Ported and cleaned up (Greg Gessler) Edelbrock Performer, painted buick red to look stock.

Ported and flowed Stage 1 valved Iron heads, 250/180 CFM at .500, work done by AM&P

    Billet MSD HEI distributor

Stg 1 Fuel pump and Stage 1 (GSX?) dual groove alternator. Also has an electric fuel currently at the rear of the car but not hooked up (was from when the Stage 2 motor was in the car). New gas tank, fuel sock, sending unit.

All new from TA performance - TA 288-94H camshaft installed to TSP's specifications (230/240 duration .500 lift, 114 LC) w/ TA lifters, new TA timing chain, adjustable pushrods, chrome moly rings, adjustable oil pressure regulator, etc.

    10.1 cast pistons. 0.030 over

Gessler ported exhaust manifolds, 2 1/2 inch exhaust with Walker Dynomax long case mufflers (17749?). Car sounds fantastic.

Transmission is a Muncie M21, 2.20 first gear, rebuilt by Muncie Bill Erickson. Hurst Shifter rebuilt by Hurst, shifter handle re-chromed, Dave Kliener linkage parts. Should be less than 3k miles on the transmission.

Suspension has rear air bags, big front rear sway bars.. Rear end is a 3.55 geared 12 bolt posi which Rick told me looked very fresh last summer, with little to no wear. Front disc brakes, rear drum. I tink the suspension was rebuilt when it was restored.

Interior is clean, shows some wear. There are no rips or tears in the seats, it has newer carpet, I think the headliner is original and has some spots in it, but no tears or rips. Has correct 4 speed speedomoter, 24 hour clock, gauge package, hood tach (not working), am/fm radio, correct gsx dash emblem, aftermarket oil pressure and temp gauges, nice 4 speed consolette.

Paint is nice, showing some wear since it is 10+ years old, hood is gloss black, shows some slight waviness.

Undercarriage needs to be cleaned up.

15 inch ralley wheels with 255/60's up front and 275/60's in the back. Tires and rims probably have about 3k miles on them.

Please PM or email me or call me with any questions or picture requests, if you are a serious buyer. I am motivated to move this car quickly, and would recommend you or your representative inspect the car. I will be honest in answering your questions, but everyone's opinion will vary on what "nice" is.

Car has won or placed in several local shows (2005 Buick Open GS class winner, 2005 NW MuscleCar Show Best Buick, and others) and is an attention getter.

    3shields Let's go, MOUNTAINEERS!!!

    Chris,

Your car is beautiful. I would have a tough time letting that one go. You should have no trouble getting decent money for that one. I would like to have it myself.

    Good Luck to you...

Thanks for the kind words John, I appreciate it. The decision to sell has been a tough one, and if it doesn't move quickly, I may end up changing my mind.

    Mark,

Just load it up in one of the car's from your signature and drive it up. Be sure to bring the car's title, as it will stay with me. You can pick which car, as long as it isn't a Chevy (unless Jarrod is done with it, then a Chevy is fine). :TU:

Darn it, guess I am just going to have to wait until you donate one to the board or have some kind of guessing contest again. If you decide to do some again, I can probably get orders for several from some of my friends who want them, and I would probably also do some of my girls for Xmas presents this year. Let me know!

chip in the paint in the door jamb, I was going to touch it up, but most people like to have things they can "fix up" on their car and make it their own .
