Paint is on! Should be bringing it home by the end of the week!!!!!!! The color is really cool, its probably a little too bold for some on the board, but I really like it. Its hard to tell much about it from the pictures, but I'll post some high quality ones when I get it to the house.

It almost looks silver in that second picture. Is that just the photo? I like it though!:TU:

The pearl in it gives it a really cool look in direct sunlight. It looks bright white most of the time until the light hits it at the right angle. Its one of those colors that look better in person. If you see one of the sporty white lexus riding around take a good look at it.

Thats the colour I want to paint my Electra. Its a really good look. Subtle in normal light but once it gets hit on the right angle BAM!
Looking great and congratulations on the engagement!

Very nice. Everything is coming along, sounds like.

Did you leave the bottom end of the engine the same, and just do the head work on it?

Thats right, I didn't touch the bottom end. It was running great when pulled so I figured I'd just get the heads worked, replace the rear main and front seals, and leave it alone.

Dad is coming up to spend the weekend, so I hope to have the engine compartment detailed and the motor mated to the tranny by sunday. Then is just a matter of getting the Core Support Patch welded in and putting everything back together.

I've seen this car in person and the paint looks awesome. Look forward to seeing it finished Jim. By the way my new project is still on the trailer. Haven't had time to unload yet.

Well the motor is in the car, but damn it wasnt easy.

So, dad came down and helped me all weekend getting things cleaned and painted and get the tranny mated to the engine ect. well we hook up the hoist to the motor and go to start putting it in the car. Right as we are getting the motor/trans lined up to the engine bay BANG. Yeah, thats right, My beautiful, buick red, countless hours of work, 455/400 combo laying sideways on the floor of the garage. Well after looking at each other and making sure no one was hurt, we turned our attention to the motor. the bolt holding the chain had come out of the head. First thought is the head is ruined but the head was not damaged. Secondly, the oil pan must be crushed from the fall, nope. I had just put a new oil filter on it and that is what took the brunt of the blow. It looked like a coke can when you crush it with your foot. The oil pump cover was broken, but the timing cover was undamaged. Ive ordered a new oil pump cover from TA. I got really lucky on this one, and still cant believe that bolt broke loose. It was in there plenty tight, or so I thought. BUT regardless, complete disaster averted. I'll have this thing running by the weekend, time permitting. Sorry for the long post just needed to vent. Pictures to come soon.

Well I got the headers on the car. Just waiting on a couple parts from the parts place and TA performance and it'll just be a matter of cranking this bad boy and putting it all back together. The finish line is finally in site. I just hope I can get there with out a detour along the way.

Well we cranked this car this weekend. Fired first time we hit the key. Now its just putting it all back together. Should be able to make a lot of progress tomorrow now that all the parts are painted. Should give me a solid week to trouble shoot before the wedding. I'll be cutting it close.

Well. I got it in done just in time for the wedding. Looked great and was running pretty good. Good enough to boil the tires leaving the reception. :3gears:
Here is how she looked at the church before the reception.
