Here it is, I bought it for $200. I'm thinking rattle can, 455, 4 speed, buckets, SLEEPER

It was in an alley so I hooked a chain to the car and to my trailer and pulled it out, my friend Brandon behind the wheel

It looks like crap but it's actually very solid. No holes anywhere and very little body work required. The interior is another story though...

My brother asked me if I pulled it out of a swamp haha

I wish I could find an alley like that here in Florida! I'm glad you decided to snag it. Keep us updated on the rebuild progress.

I think the first line of business is to gut that interior, paint the floors with POR15 and find some buckets. Then figure out if I want to do a decent primer job with some decent primer or just rattle can it. It's probably cheaper for me to paint it with some decent primer. Rattle can takes forever and about 12 cans.

Great find Robert, I'm looking for these kind of old buicks every day around here, but not your kind of luck yet! Scrap iron prices are making it almost impossible to score.

Yeah damn scrap prices. Copper has actually gone down though. I remember a few years ago it got up to $6/lb. It's been around 3 a lb but now it's about $2.80 (My dads owns a plumbing company so we save all the scrap copper).

I was trying to part out a 1979 Dodge pick up but I just wanted it gone wuick so I said "$100 its yours" and put it on craigslist. I had 17 voicemails by the time I woke up the next morning. ALL scrappers!

The guy that sold me the 'Lark kept telling me "if it doesn't work out you could probably get $500 at the scrap yard." I couldn't do it. I'd rather see it back on the road someday. Or at the very least rotting away on my property. Actually I'd give it to a friend before I scrapped it or let it rot.

A GS clone eh? That would be cool.

Hopefully I can get it into some primer soon so I don't have to look at that damn rust for much longer. I think my dad would feel better having it sitting in front of his barn if it had some paint on it...

By the way, I washed it in the rain today and I did find 1 rust spot. Above the trunk hinge. It's not quite all the way through but it's cancer alright. No big deal, it's less than the size of a quarter.

I also put some air in the back tires. All 4 tires are brand new with the stickers still on the tread. Who buys brand new tires for a car that looks like this? My pet wild hog and my girlfriend gave me a hand

    LOVE THOSE 67'S.
I think the 67 is a very nice year for looks and they ride soooo smooth. I've had my 67 GS for 32 years and had a very nice 67 Skylark but the x-wife wrecked the lark.
I have the 4 peices of moulding (chrome) that run along the top of the doors from the front to rear. They came off a 67 Skylark like yours. I saved the fender skirts and moulding, also a tinted right door door glass and a few other trim parts if you need any of this.
Your car looks to be well preserved compaired to what we have in Missouri. We salt our roads.

All the glass is good, all the trim and chrome is there and decent. All badges are present. I don't think there's anything I really need but thanks. Do you have any pics of your old Lark or your GS?

I think the paint code was CC is that white body/white roof?

The motor is a 300-2 and I was told the tranny is a 2 speed super turbine I think??? I don't know. But it's coming out. May be locked up. Looks decent though still has paint on the block.

    Wow Robert
Looks really solid. Thats a good find! :TU:
We painted a car about 15 years ago in a hay barn, start to finish, in one weekend.
Just wetsand and paint. Only had about $200 in it and it looked great (considering how half-@ssed we did it) for quite a few years!
Sure the rust wasn't fixed, sure there was dirt, bugs, and hay in the paint, but the car looked 2000% better and it didn't hit my wallet too hard.
From 30' away it looked like a show car.

PS.. when I first saw the picture in this thread with the hog... I thought the chain was for the hog!

I'm not really a fan of show cars. They're all the same - PERDY! I like to see flaws and rock chips. This car will be driven to it's full potential. It will see plenty of street and strip action.

I plan on making this my first paint job. I'm not too worried about it. I'm thinking of painting it some old school, dull, grandma looking green with a black top. The body is pretty solid with only 2 good sized dings. No big deal.

and that hog doesn't need a chain. haha When we caught him he was the size of a small dog. We fenced him in for a few weeks and fed him and let him go. Now he won't leave us alone. He's pretty damn cool. Like a dog but dumber and more destructive.

I have a 300 That came o.ut of my '67. Actually ran nice. I took it out to put a 455 in. Well the car is sitting waiting for me to work on it. I'd rather be driving it.

That the green I need right there! Puke 60s grandma's buick green. I like it. That's crazy, it even has a black top. What is that color called and is it original?

Is a CC paint code white/white roof?

This is the car I was thinking of
    [IMG]

This was sitting in a yard down the street from my house. They had a fence with a pad lock on it with dogs inside. I never saw anyone home now the car is gone. I hope the dogs made it out ok.

This is one of my old 67's. I hated the color when I first got it, but it grew on me over the first couple months I had it.
If I would have repainted it, I would have kept the same color!
Not sure if this is the shade you're looking for, but it's a factory 67 Buick green. I forget what they call it though...

I have a lot of pix of that car if you want to see it from different angles to help make up your mind.
