Those aftermarket deck lids require a good bit of work to fit correctly

9x out 10 they are too high in the back and require some unfavorable methods to correct

Not only are the junkyards boring today, they’re TOO SANITARY:p
At Aetna Auto Wrecking in Cleveland, I was there on a hot sunny Saturday morning getting a clutch fan off a big Buick, laying over the fan blades was a nice big fat dead rat, THOSE were the days:D

Many have gone to FB and it’s “marketplace”. Personally find it to be a hot mess, over there, and the levels of BS and not following through is amazing. This is one of the few sites that has not been nearly completely gutted by FB, and that’s a good thing. Frankly don’t have a lot of Buick parts but have learned a lot about the make by being on this site. That’s valuable.
Have some big car parts left, and yes those take years to find a home. A magic cornucopia spitting out NOS ‘70 GS parts would be nice to have, that’s for sure.

OK this comment should end the conversation. "send him my way I got tons of parts I'll sell him at crazy prices! "
Tired of seeing crazy asking prices, but send him my way?

A little off subject but still related . I was chastised by a member a while back for " GETTING IN LINE " on a part for sale . He told me I ruined the post because I would probably pass on the part later on . ???? It wasn't even his part for sale . There are certain members that " GET IN LINE " all the time only to pass later . WTF ???? They know who they are .

I’ll expand on that and add that “getting in line” is a bit on the annoying side, especially when the interested person is the first to post and there is no line. Post after post, I see 5 or 6 people get in line and all of them back out. I’m not talking about the high dollar stuff that has moving parts, is more expensive, or more information is needed to make a decision.

I understand and respect that it’s a policy here, but I think it also gives people a license to hold up a sale while they think about it. I can think of a few big name guys that are members here who don’t advertise their parts and/or cars here. I’ll just leave it at that.

CJay, you did a great job.
Chesapeake Pete needed to go, he was an instigator, trouble maker from the get-go.
Thank you and JW for doing what needed to be done.
Another good reason why I like this forum. VET (Navy)

I think the "Getting in line" concept works fine. Timing is everything. The first interested person should have the right to review all details of the transaction to see if it fits them. If not next in line gets the same courtesy, simple concept.

This concept is just like the on-line for a meal.
Get up early, get in line, and you will get a good tender steak, sleep in late and get a tough steal. Lol :D

I agree, we have as fair as system as can be applied. Vet (Navy)

Hey guys, I have noticed the older I get, the window of things I don't like is getting bigger & the window of things I do like, is getting smaller !!!!! :) All kidding aside, I am just happy to have any parts offered for my cars. Whether they are crazy prices or great deals. I remember a time before the internet, I could not find any parts for my cars, no matter what the price. I live in Ohio (RUST BELT) & there was nothing at the local junk yards for 60's Buicks & nothing in the papers. We have a big car show a couple hours away once a year. I went with my son & it was nothing but Chevy / Ford & aftermarket stuff. NOTHING, & I MEAN NOTHING WAS FOR BUICKS !!!!! :( I am just glad for the internet & especially this V8Buick site. Thanks to JW & all the moderators & members also. It takes us all to make it work. We all need to stick together the best we can ! We have enough things against us. The high prices is the least of our worries. :);)

P.S. I have paid dearly for some of my parts & when I sell them I try to get all I can get for them.

    Thanks Guys,

    Rick

For sale one limited edition crinkle finish Buick Console release button , these were only found on a select few 71 GS crinkle edition interior cars. I know what I have $500.00, don’t lowball me. ;) I’m sorry I put this in the wrong section. IMG_4697.jpeg
