Good deal Yards! Great to hear you puttin' your brother away and picking up a new personal best in the process. That motor is really working for you now! :3gears: :TU:

Kenny, I ran on my street tires. They are Firestone Daytona 500 series and I recommend them. Johnno was surprised by how tacky they were after each run. The only free slicks I have are too tall and it slows me down.
And yes, I certainly noticed that I was held up every time I came to the tree. Didn't seem to bother me much with an .04 and a .02 RT.

Paul, my previous best was 13.72 at E-town Labor Day weekend, with crappy air and a bad fuel pump leaving me nosing over at the top of 2nd gear. I was jetted at 80/86 and went down to 78/80 for yesterday. When the carb came back to me from Jet Performance after their Stage2 build it was jetted at 77/80, so I guess they really know what they're doing.

Funny thing... on my first time trial run I had to wait for the track guy to check the whole track. So I sat there idling. At least 4 minutes or more. I'd rev it once in a while. On my approach to the line I revved it and it popped through the carb and began idling rough. It launched fine but had a very short stumble in the middle of 2nd gear. Then it ran fine after that. I'm guessing some dirt got in the passages and had to work loose.

I'm STILL smiling and laughing about yesterday. Dusting that '03 MACH1 in my 1st round was priceless. As I was getting gas on the way home it came trailering by me and all I could do was laugh knowing I spanked him soundly. He got a .02 head start and I cought him almost immediately, but I was afraid he'd catch me at the top end. No need to worry. The 462 pulled like a freight train right through the traps at 4900 RPM and he never got closer than my rear bumper.

What a hoot to run a 4400 pound beast like that and leave all the racers wondering what in the hell just happened. :pp

    Alan,
I have heard it could take months for those washer jugs to empty out :Do No: so be patient, it'll be worth the wait :pp

Have you been talking to Ken  I was just telling him Saturday about how my tach lense blinds me on the track hood :Dou:

    Beth

Yardley, did you forget to bring your "love-lambs" to sell at the race?? I heard demand for those things are going sky high, so you could've made alot of dough as well. Just joking with you Jeff, that is an impressive few runs! :TU:
