Not a lot of cars that bring that kind of change, and a rolling greenhouse that we made fun of when they were NEW sure isn't one of them.
He's got to be some kind of strange dude that loves Pacers. His wife told him to sell it so he figured that he would put the price so high that it never sells.
No one could be that high and still type.

 

My folks had one when I was a kid. Some people like them, but nobody is paying that much. Guy has it confused with a vette.

Another case of the Barrett-Jackson syndrome; - where anyone with an old car outside in a barn thinks they're sitting on a fortune...

I'd offer him 35 Thousand Zimbabwean Dollars for it; - about .00035 cents Canadian; - that should be about right...

 

ya ya...you guys picking on orphan cars.....theres been some $20,000 pacers , right before this last crunch of the economy, some guy had a few with like 6 miles...people went nuts and they sold at a private auction, but they where out of the box perfectly preserved, and one was the last pacer made....no way today though....

obviously they are way off....no one likes amc cars like amcers...kinda like buicks are liked buy old farts driving buicks...:bla:

 

I wouldn't say no one likes any of the AMC cars, but a pacer for gods sake! We laughed at them when they were new. Use to call my friends moms Pacer a rolling green house. $35K? I think the guy said it had like 20,000 miles on it, if it's like new I could see a collector going $10 - $15, maybe, and that's only if a 20,000 mile pacer is as rare as other cars of it's age with that kind of mileage on it.

 

Should have bought it for the pleasure of having it crushed. :laugh:

 

Well, since i sell alot of AMC parts...and I mean alot..i own a dozen....so i like AMCs.....AMC people are 2 extremes...really cheap or really excentric, ive been dealing the stuff for 20+ years...low mile originals bring alot of money and i scratch my head all the time...they are way off on price on this one...but weird stuff happens...

That's right, I forgot you were into those. I would love a good Javelin myself! Found one that looked abandoned sitting with some junk cars, but they actually moved it by the time I got to go back and check into it.
I'm still looking though. Most people don't know what they are so there are some good deals out there if I keep looking.

 

I once met a girl that drove a Gremlin with a 401 and dual quad cross ram intake. That car was so fast that she never lost a bet. I know I gave her some money myself. Her daddy was a AMC tech and had a bad a$$ Scrambler. My 69 Mach was no match for either of them and I could get 13.0's in street trim

The price is high, no doubt, but you never know when somebody with money wants that exact car because of some childhood memory associated with it or something. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I always wanted a Gremlin X though...
