I still  remember the first Pacers introduced here in Europe.... ugly, odd. But the last years they got my attention more and more. I even considered to buy one for my GF; bought the Estate Wagon for her, but she never drives it (too big).
Here's one that attended a meeting lately. Owner had put quite some :dollar: :dollar: in it over the last few years during resto.
Really nice to see something different between all the common Chevelles, Challengers, Chargers, Camaros and Caprices

I just can't help but think that 30 years from now someone will be having this same discussion about a Pontiac Aztec somewhere in cyberland.:Dou:

You know, we all laughed at these cars back in the day, but the design is such that we are talking about it 30 years later as being one of the most unique designes ever. Putrid or otherwise, it is what it is, fairly rare and desireable to those with an AMC fetish. How cool would it be to drop a turbo 6 or a nailhead in it? :)

My cousin owned an Ambassador SST wagon, I think it was a 68. I remember that car being quick.

Hopefully it won't attract as much attention because there are so many other cars these days that look like crap, so as butt ugly as it is, it doesn't stand out as much these days.

Hmmmm, I know where one has been sitting since at least 1998 at an abandoned gas station in western North Dakota. Maybe I need to check it out a bit further.

    Nah, I'd better not.

Who would have thought back in the day the full size GM stationwagons (71-76) would bring good money in the future.... In the mean time they were derbied or went to a crusher. Nowadays they're really hard to find and if you can find one in a good condition (w/ woodgrain roofrack and full options) it will bring (relative) good money.

That guy may have an S/C rambler just sitting waiting to be loved! I would love to have or build one. With a car that rare, a clone to race would be good enough for me!
