Very good information. I wish I had known some of this 2 yrs ago. I would not have bought a set of 5x5 rallyes for my Skylark. I even went so far as to have tires mounted and did not realize until I tried to put them on the car. Now I have a really good set sitting in the garage waiting for a new project. Live and learn, I guess.
What is the bolt pattern for this wheel. 15 x 7 JJ T DOT made in USA B 2 MW. It is a buick rally wheel. Is it for big car 5x5 or small 5x4.75
Scares the hell out of me that the rims have been shot with a gray paint inside the rim and on the backside of the wheel.....and that one picture of the "pits"...i'll bet every wheel has them to some degree....... Looks like wheels that have been in bad storage and have been "slicked" up to sell.......i think most of you guys would be disapointed with these wheels...... Here's a set of big car 15x7 NOS wheels.......un-touched.... Peace WildBill Peace WildBill
And now......you sharp-eyed Buick dudes....tell me why someone will be disapointed with his GSX wing..... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buic...14&_trkparms=72:1205|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318 Peace WildBill
Vent holes were introduced and/or in a different location in '71-'72 and therefore that isn't a '70 wing? I'm drooling over those 15 x 7 wheels, Bill. Nice!
Hello rivman, I hear ya, we've been metric for what 15-20 years now???? Whens the last time you bought a lag bolt at the hardware store that was metric o No: ..... I guess those rims are actually... 5 on 127mm :moonu:
Ken is right, 1, it is either not a 70 rear spoiler or it is a reproduction. 2. it's hard to tell but from the pics it looks like the pedastals have been ground down to fit a "flat" trunklid. I see no indication of the angle change at the mating surface. Duane
Duane.....you are the one of a very few who could make the correct call on that spoiler :TU: Peace WildBill
Duane, this may be a dumb question but whats a flat trunklid? aren't 70-72 lids all the same?o No: ps....very nice wheels wildbill:TU: cheers, Gord
What he is saying is whoever owned prior to "okeeracer", must have installed it on another car and ground the pedastals flat in order to fit there application.
Has anyone seen the guy on ebay NOW from Ottawa selling those same exact rims? Apparently he bought them from this guy and they didn't fit his application. This original seller needs to be more specific with hie description. They will not fit the cars with the aluminum drums. If he gets all his money back including shipping, I will be suprised, and glad for him at the same time. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=200339981254
